I will not buy another vehicle from these rip offs. I fell prey to the tire protection program and when i found out that the spare tire was already flat when i bought it they would not cover it. They were outstanding!! I just bought my equinox ltz from them at a reasonable price. They promised me a price and stuck to it. I have never been to a dealership so honest and upfront before. They were compl them at a reasonable price. They promised me a price and stuck to it. I have never been to a dealership so honest and upfront before. They were completely truthful about everything, and that is very rare to find. I will be recommending them to everyone I know! Thank you Erwin and Fred for making everything so easy and for making me feel so unpressured during the sale. You guys are awesome!!! I am so happy with my equinox. You guys brought a huge smile to my face!! More
Looking at other reviews of their sales process, my experience was not unique. I went there and test-drove an Express 1500, but they did not have the exact model I wanted. Went on their web site a coup experience was not unique. I went there and test-drove an Express 1500, but they did not have the exact model I wanted. Went on their web site a couple of days later, and found exactly what I wanted: web page said $26010 MSRP (which, based on my search, was consistant with other dealers); this number was crossed-out and 'their' price of about $24,500 was also crossed-out. The 'eprice' of $21,117 was ALSO crossed out and the web page said to 'call for pricing'. I called the salesman with whom I oringally spoke and asked for the 'out-the-door' price they could give me on that vehicle. He told me $21,000: a great deal. We could not meet that day for me to purchase, and after a couple of convesations (during each of which he verbally confirmed the OTD price of $21,000), I arranged to go in to purchase. Although my salesperson could not be present, I wanted to buy this before it was sold. I was given another salesman's name and told that he would have all the paperwork available at the price discussed. Guess what? I was told the 'best' price they could give me ("honest, it's way below invoice") was $25,000. Very shabby and dishonest sales practice. Don't beleive anything they tell you without getting it in writing! Incidentally, I got written proposels from 3 other dealers for the same model (same MSRP), all under the 'way below invoice' price they claimed they paid. STAY AWAY! More
I had to wait too long to get assistance from a sales person. The trade amount offered was way much lower than other dealership had offered plus the interest rate were very high person. I gave the ratings I gave because James came right up to us as soon as we pulled up and was very friendly right off the bat. He was straight up with us about everything and didnt try to pressure us into any us as soon as we pulled up and was very friendly right off the bat. He was straight up with us about everything and didnt try to pressure us into anything (didnt feel that way). He should us the cars he knew we were interested in but not nothing we couldnt of attempted to have. The price was a good price for a preowned 2010 but I didnt notice some things on the car or he didnt point some things out that I would have liked to know before I went through everything. I wish 1000-2000 would have been taken off for some of the small damage because I feel like now I am putting even more money out. All and all he was a great seller and made of feel VERY comfortable and welcome there and to feel like we COULD buy a car and notfeel like we couldnt. He was a great help and im happy we got him as a salesman! This is the SECOND vehicle we have purchased from Grossinger Chevrolet and we couldn't be more satsified with our purchase or the experience. The guys at Grossinger went out of their way to negotiat Grossinger Chevrolet and we couldn't be more satsified with our purchase or the experience. The guys at Grossinger went out of their way to negotiate a great deal, answer all of our questions promptly and explain the details. In fact, they are so great to deal with that we drove all the way to Palatine, IL from Nashville, TN TWICE to buy from them. It takes a great deal of faith the first time to buy out of state but we were rewarded with a stellar experience and didn't think twice about giving them our return business. We wouldn't have gone anywhere else. The deal we negotiated from home was the one we got when we arrived to pick up the car. The financing was thoroughly explained to us, we were introduced to our new vehicle and the staff was welcoming, appreciative and accommodating. Just what you want when you spend your hard earned money. We felt understood and valued. More
About a week ago I spent my weekend checking out the new 2011 camaro. Was looking at the base model. Bob had greeted me in the parking lot. Took it for a ride and decided that day I wanted that car. Tol 2011 camaro. Was looking at the base model. Bob had greeted me in the parking lot. Took it for a ride and decided that day I wanted that car. Told them I would be in on Monday night to do th deal and that I would have a cosigner for it. Monday came along and I meet with Bob to do the deal. I tell him exactly what I wanted and he told me it would be no problem. Here was the sketchy thing...he asked for my credit card/debit/bank check (one of them) before I started talking numbers. When I asked him why he needed this from me his response was "I just need to play this game with my manager to let him know you are serious about buying" RED FLAG #1. Unforunately I decided to give them my credit card. They were going to have to located the vehicle because they didn't have it on the lot. I sold cars for a few months and we never asked any of customers to give over there personals such as that...let alone show mistrust in them not wanting to buy. If they want to do the deal they do the deal. I got the numbers and to be honest they didn't really do anything with them the first time he just gave me the mrsp and value of my trade in along with the GM loyalty program. Again it wasn't much. I asked again if they would work with the numbers...the response from the manager was that they will work on it when my cosigner arrives even though I'm the one buying the car. RED FLAG #2 The pressure was very great to put the $500 down on my credit card or debt card even though I repeatedly told them I was going to do it by check. RED FLAG #3 I decided ok I will head home get my check book and get my cosigner to finish out the deal and run credit. On my way out I asked for my credit card back...their response was "We are just going to hold on it so we know your coming back for the deal." RED FLAG #4. Absolutely terrible for a dealer to put this kid of pressure on a business deal! Regretfully I was caught off guard and allowed it. I decided on my way home and back that was it. Deal off and went back to dealership and grabbed my card as quick as I could. Had to cancel it as well that night. Decided to head to Bill Stasek Chevrolet in Wheeling and they were very friendly and got me into a used 2010 Camaro 2SS. Beautiful car! Bumblebee yellow with rally and hockey stripes. I'm glad I didn't buy a car from Grossinger Palatine. More
