I had never purchased through a dealership. The vehicle I was looking for was so rare to find used in my price range (AWD Toyota Sienna), that I had accepted that a dealership may be my only option but had I was looking for was so rare to find used in my price range (AWD Toyota Sienna), that I had accepted that a dealership may be my only option but had poor experiences at the dealerships in my area. The prices were high, the quality was low, and the sales people were sneaky (trying to show my false kbb values by adding features the vans didn’t have) and pushy. I began broadening my search online to as far as 200 miles, and after weeks the clouds parted and angels sung because I saw the perfect vehicle at a price too good to be true. There was some initial confusion back and forth about this vehicle, but all was cleared up and my faith in dealerships was earned through my experience with Grossinger Chevrolet. Steve Kramer was amazing. Even though I was 4 hours away in a different state and this vehicle was going to sell quick, he and general manager Erwin Goldberg agreed to hold the van for us at the price of a lifetime till we could get there the next day. Steve Kramer stayed late and called multiple times to get us everything we needed for our bank, and after doing all that extra work for us, he talked to his finance dept. and found out they could get us an even lower rate. My husband and I took a day off work and drove 4 hours to the dealership the next day, and we weren’t disappointed. Steve had the day off but was gracious enough to come in to help us. We got their earlier than expected so while we waited not even 5 minutes for Steve, general manager Erwin Goldberg came to check on us and make sure we were comfortable. Steve walked us through everything, and was very kind and patient as I had lots of questions. Fred, in the financing dept., was just as accommodating and found us a great loan and thoroughly explained our extended warranty options without pressuring us to buy. But we did because the rates and coverage were a great deal. Steve stayed through the whole process even though he could have been home and was great to deal with. The van drove beautifully in rush hour traffic and for the rest of my four hour drive back to Iowa. I feel like I got the deal of a lifetime and love my new vehicle more each time I drive it. Grossinger Chevrolet was defiantly worth the 8 hours of driving we did to get there and back. I couldn’t be more grateful for the kindness and knowledge of salesman Steve Kramer or more impressed with the integrity of manager Erwin Goldberg. I visited the dealership for the first time ever on a Monday night for a max of 30 minutes and chit chatted briefly with Ron. When I returned on Tuesday, not only did Ron remember my name, but he remembered what vehicles I was interested and everything that I had mentioned in our previous visit - and I never once saw him take any notes. We test drove a couple of cars and decided on the 2012 Equinox. The finance team, Cesar & Fred, worked with me to find the best financing options until the deal was done and I was 100% satisfied. I had the wonderful experience of working with Dan Allaire when my new car was delivered. This was the first time we met and he is a truly caring and honest person, and wanted to make sure we were com Allaire when my new car was delivered. And because my husbnd was on a time constraignth, he managed to help us get everything done without ever feeling rushed.When it came time to get the car, Dan when through all the controls with me to make sure I was comfotable with everything. He even programed my cell phone to the car and adjusted the power seat setting for me. I feel very secure in saying that Dan Allaire truly puts his customers at ease and is willing to go the extra mile for them. I can only say that when we need another car, or if one of my friends need one, Dan Allaire will come highly recommended. I will not buy another vehicle from these rip offs. I fell prey to the tire protection program and when i found out that the spare tire was already flat when i bought it they would not cover it.
