Quite possibly the worst service I've ever encountered The brakes in my 2005 Chevrolet K1500 went out and I called Tony's Chevrolet and asked if they could get me in. It was the Monday before thanksgiving The brakes in my 2005 Chevrolet K1500 went out and I called Tony's Chevrolet and asked if they could get me in. It was the Monday before thanksgiving and they said, "yes but I might not be seen until Friday." Not the best news, but it was a holiday week and I had no brakes so I didn't have much choice. On Wednesday I was told I needed $4000.00 worth of work in addition the the failed brakes that I came in for. The brake job would be $800.00. I was in shock, but I need my truck, I love my truck so let's do it. Fortunately, according to the service advisor I could get away with doing 1/2 the work. He said, "you need to do this sooner than later". Okay, he's the expert. I agreed to a front differential seal, an oil pan seal and the steel brake line replacement that I actually came in for. He told me with the holiday they'd have it finished on Friday. Great. Friday came and went and I didn't hear anything, so at the end of the day I called and was told it would be the following week before my vehicle was fixed because the mechanic was on holiday. Okay, that's reasonable. I asked if they had a vehicle I could borrow, I was told "maybe, they are all loaned out now so maybe not." I insisted and they set me up with a loaner car, nice. I was told to bring it back with a full tank, I drove away with the tank at 3/4 full. Oh well, not the worst thing. I was told my truck would be ready Monday or Tuesday, wonderful, I felt good. The next week arrives and nothing. Not a phone call, not a text, not an email, not a message, not an update of any kind, so I decide to wait and see if anyone will ever call me. Nothing. On Friday I attempt to contact my service advisor, multiple phone calls go unanswered. On Saturday I call at 5 p.m. and he tells me, "I need to get an update from the mechanic, I'll call you back." At 8 p.m. I call back and am told by the receptionist he's gone home for the night. Lame. On Monday, after two weeks with no updates other than those I had called for, I decide to contact the service manager, very nice man who is apologetic and assures me he will update me, he does. The work is taking longer than expected, they "had to order a part", it will be a few more days. Ugh. It is now Saturday evening, 5:48 p.m. and the service advisor calls me, "hey your truck is finally ready, you can pick it up today until 8 p.m. or tomorrow 11 - 7. I'm going home for the evening so I'll have it brought around front and you can pick it up with the receptionist. Just drop the loaner car off with her and I'll deal with it on Monday." I arrive at the dealership shortly after 6 p.m. and there is my truck, dirty, frozen solid and covered in two inches of snow. No fresh tracks, just bare ground beneath. For the record it snowed early today, so my truck had been in that same spot for at least 6 - 8 hours minimum. I think it is quite clear the service advisor purposely delayed contacting me until the end of his shift and prior to his day off so he wouldn't have to deal with me. Sad. I got away paying just under $2600.00, two days shy of three weeks total service time and guess what, not even a "thank you". It's quite obvious I don't matter to these folks. "Just another customer." Pathetic. I would like to add, the loaner car was super nice to have, a rental would have been grossly expensive. Of this experience, that was the nicest part. I did have to beg for it, but at least I got it. I will continue to drive Chevys for the rest of my days, I love them, always have. I will not however, ever be going back to Tony's Chevrolet. Oh and one more thing, the reason I am writing this review on this website is because, as I was leaving, posted on the entrance/exit door of the dealership was a sign asking for reviews to be posted here. Great Service Great experience. They took my vehicle early and attempted to look at it before my scheduled appointment...the problem ended up being fairly complex, Great experience. They took my vehicle early and attempted to look at it before my scheduled appointment...the problem ended up being fairly complex, so they didn't finish the work until after my scheduled appointment. All told they had my truck for about 5 days, but Shane called to give me periodic updates as to the status of my truck. In the end, they found the problem and the technician was diligent to determine that the work was indeed under warranty. Great experience from and open and honest operation. The only reason they didn't get a 5 star overall was the total time it took to get my truck back (5 days). More

This is not t Getting put up with litha south anchorage Chevy. I got my oil changed Monday and it smells like burning oil every time I drive my truck. This is not the first nor second but the third time. Now that this is becoming a regular problem I know it takes 3-6 weeks to burn off. They have busted my dipstick tube off before and cross threaded the oil filter in the past. Might as well do it myself to ensure that I don't have to smell it when I drive. More
