Friendly but read the fine print We drove 2 hours to the dealership on a weeknight because they had the model of used car we were looking for and arrived about an hour before closing. They were great about taking us for a drive, never made us feel rushed. We decided we wanted the car and the process began. The paperwork we were presented with showed a similar payment to what we were quoted by our credit union but for a year longer. If we hadn't questioned this and based our purchase on payment alone we would have purchased a $2000 warranty and a $800 gap insurance policy that was not disclosed to us that was being added. We tried to haggle a bit on price but didn't get far because the car was newer on the lot and it hadn't been through the shop yet to make potential repairs. Sounded fair enough, so we signed papers and agreed to pick the car up on Saturday after a detail and shop review. We got the car and the detail was ok but not great, we expected better for the price. The air conditioner light was flashing, but according to the book it was because the outside temp was too low for air. Found out a few months later that it was because the freon was low, so much for a thorough check out in the shop. I would buy another car here because I think the lifetime power train warranty is great at no cost and they were friendly but I will always read the contracts closely and would have been more insistent about a better detail and shop inspection. More
