We're as stumped as you are Shannon. After putting in the short block is when the issue came up. We drove it over 25 miles and it never overheated. You took it, drove it last Friday and it was fine; then told us you couldn't make it 1/2 of a mile on Saturday and it overheated. Yesterday morning when you sat down with our service manager, we provided you with all of the paperwork on the vehicle, including work done, diagnosis, etc. We've complete all warranty claims. You now have the vehicle at a different dealership and they are wanting to replace the radiator, which we did last week. At this time, we're not 100% sure what the problem is, but it very well could be a parts issue with the short block itself. I would be more than willing to speak with you at any time. I have had to fight ridiculously hard to get this fixed and no one has stepped up to make this right. NEVER did my car overheat before you guys touched it. I'm not wasting my time in your dealership when it's now worse than when we brought it in. I stand behind my original comment that it never should've been sent home when it overheated the next morning. Stumped as you may be, it's your job to send someone home in a vehicle that runs (especially under warranty).

Shannon, Again, it did not overheat when we had it, or the following day when you had it. It was on the second day that you had it that you told us it overheated. This very well could be a shortblock issue. Luckily, that is under warranty. If it didn't act up when it was with us, we would have no idea that there were a problem or that there would be one. We're really sorry for the inconvenience this whole matter has caused you.

After a lowball trade in offer from this dealership, we have sought legal counsel to retain official copies of the work done and repairs to my car. The paperwork spoken of earlier that was handed to me consisted of hand scribbled notes on a work order stating things like "very long story 1,000 words " and "complicated story", a blank piece of paper (no vehicle information or dealership info) with a list of parts replaced and finally an incomplete paragraph of what has been done again on paper with nothing associating our vehicle or this dealership with the incomplete notes. Due to the fact that our car was brought into Chuck Anderson, they replaced the short block and the new problem of the vehicle consistently overheating and being no longer driveable, we have contacted the Better Business Bureau for further assistance. My review is to warn others of the carelessness of this dealership and disregard to do the right thing. I would hate to see someone else go through this. Sadly this has all happened while I was supposed to be on bed rest after a major surgery. While we continue to work with a fabulous Ford dealership to get my car running, we are well into our 3rd month paying for an undriveable vehicle.

Shannon, I'm really sorry it had to go this direction. A 'lowball' trade offer would not be giving you $300 over what they're bringing at the auction, knowing that your vehicle is still not operating correctly. No, I wouldn't give you and your husband the payoff on your vehicle, because it's not worth that. Just as, if you had owed $1,500 on it, I wouldn't offer nor expect you to be ok with me giving you $1,500 for it. We have multiple records of communication between us and Ford Motor Company about the issue with your vehicle. Like I've said multiple times, I believe it's a faulty short block. Unfortunately, when things are covered under warranty there is a specific process of steps that must be fulfilled. Ford would not approve of us changing out a short block at this point, they want to verify that it isn't any other part or parts causing the concern. We'll wait to hear from the BBB and legal counsel if you decide you want to approach it that way. We wish we would've been the ones to sell you the vehicle in the first place; then you would know that we aren't in the business to have customers feel like we aren't on their side.
