Mr. Costillo, as service advisor, has taken care of four vehicles over 13 years- always with integrity, very good advice on what to do (and not do). Mr. Costillo is the reason why we purchased 2 vehicles f More

Mr. Lake: It has come to my attention that, in June of this year, you had a rather unpleasant experience in our service department when you arrived for an oil change. I am disappointed that your visit was anything less than completely satisfying and would like just a moment of your time to review the occurrence. As you are probably aware, the $29 Oil Lube and Filter Special is A General Motors sponsored program that is advertised nationwide. The regular price for the service is $39 and GM is contributing the other $10 in the form of a rebate. Please accept my apology in that I feel we did not properly explain the special or the rebate process to you. I am sure if we had, you would have better understood the pricing disparity. I would like to insure that the barrage of emails you have been receiving regarding the rewards program have ceased. If you would, could you please send me a note or give me a call so I can take care of this for you? I understand that we are the most convenient dealership for you to service and maintain your vehicle and due to your most recent experience, have opted to drive to Austin in the future…You shouldn’t have to and I would like an opportunity to earn your business again. To start, I would like to offer you a complimentary oil lube and filter change when your next scheduled one is due…at your convenience. Please contact me directly when you would like to schedule your service as I would like to handle your account personally. Thank you for time today and I look forward to talking to you in the near future. Sincerely, Jimmy Castillo, Service Manager Chuck Nash Auto Group jimmyc@chucknash.com Direct Line: 512.396.7840

Thank you Mr. Castillo, but I don't think so. These incidents didn't happen in one visit. They happened over 3 or 4 visits, thus setting the trend for my future visits. I have taken advantage of the $29 oil and lube at other dealers and they don't make me wait for rebates. I pay the advertised price plus tax. I realize that in most cases, giving people free stuff usually brings them back, but it's not worth my aggravation. It also goes against my principal to support a business that doesn't care about customer service in the "Service department". I really like Chevy products and in this market, I'm sure that the people who really want jobs will earn them for once. Capitol Chevy has been proving that for years and I foolishly left that for greater convenience. They ask me for feedback on every visit and offer an occasional free oil change just for participating. They don't wait until the customer has already given up on them to actually provide good service. It's done at the beginning. Good luck to you. I'll likely be spending my $60 to $80K there for my new trucks. John Lake
