Was always a 5star rating with me and I’ve been a loyal customer at Flemington Ford for many years from the purchase of new vehicles to trusting them with their service. But, I just brought my F350 diesel customer at Flemington Ford for many years from the purchase of new vehicles to trusting them with their service. But, I just brought my F350 diesel in for a scheduled oil & filter change and had my first problem. When I called to schedule my appointment, I was quoted $126.00 for this service. I received a $25 off any service over $100 coupon in the mail, which prompted me to come in. When my truck was done and I went to pay, my bill was $189+. I asked Anthony P. what was the extra charge and he said that they had to add 5 gal. of DEF. I knew that was BS because I had just filled it a week before and had driven less than 100 miles. I told him that the mechanic was a blatant liar since I had just filled it. Also, I would NEVER agree to pay $8.50/gal. for DEF when I could get it at a truck stop for under $3/gal. After much debate, he finally took it off my bill. After years of “trust” & loyalty, I am now hesitant about future service after this attempted scam. I have found my Ford dealer for life and it doesn’t matter that it’s 3 hours away and out of state- these guys are THE BEST! After passing the baton to Mark Schmaling for the sale, the great service continued as he ensured all our requested accessories were added, our out of state registration was all set, and that we took advantage of all available incentives! Chris Callahan, the sales manager finished everything off by getting us a better rate and term than we expected and and back on the road home in no time! Not my first car buying experience but was clearly the best. I was impressed with the dealer as soon as I pulled into the lot. In this all to casual world I was pleasantly surprised to see all the sales staff in white shirt and necktie. This just commands respect. I had found the car I wanted online snd had spoken to David, the salesman, about my interest and my budget. Important since I was driving 90 minutes to see the car. We had a bit of discussion on the final price and Pete, the manager, stepped in and we made the deal. Upon inspecting the car THEY pointed out some previously unnoticed scratches and agreed to repair that plus refurbish the wheels that showed some curb rash. Upon delivery Denis, the finance guy, was also thoroughly professional and took us through all the fees, finance options and other paperwork that comes with buying a car today. It was worth the trip to meet and deal with these folks who hasn’t aggregate 55 years with this dealership. That is unheard of in the retail auto business. More
