After talking to many dealers over the past few days, we ultimately purchased a pre-owned Toyota from Fred. Not only did he get back to me when he said he would, my husband and I agree he was very laid back and did not pressure us at any point. It truly felt like we were buying from a friend. There was even no pressure (i.e. maintenance and warranty coverage) when we transitioned to the business office to complete the paperwork. I would buy another car from Fred Kress without hesitation and will refer my friends and family to him as well. Whether you look forward to going to a car dealership or dread it, Fred is the consummate professional and made the entire experience pleasant. Marianne was so amazing. I've had a bad experience at a dealership in Bridgewater before and, because of that, was anxious about being pressured or treated like I am not smar I've had a bad experience at a dealership in Bridgewater before and, because of that, was anxious about being pressured or treated like I am not smart. She was the opposite, showing me kindness and patience. She went above and beyond to make sure all my questions were answered and needs were met, leaving no doubt in my mind about my purchase. Her efficiency helped me get a car within hours. I have really needed one, but didn't expect to find, love, and purchase a reliable car in great shape within hours or even the same day! I was not going to settle at all, so was prepared to come back, to be frustrated, to have to fight for respect, and/or to find out there was nothing in stock for me (given the circumstances right now). We started looking at the car we had initially planned to as well as a few others. Among these, I was interested in looking more at the Subaru. She let me test-drive the original vehicle over to the Subaru dealership! Then Chris took over, teaching me about that car. I told Marianne that I was thankful for her help, and for getting me to Chris. Chris was amazingly kind and super helpful as well! I was in awe that I was able to have not just one, but two great people to help me, IN A ROW! It didn't matter how many times I told Marianne I was comfortable with Chris and could proceed without her, as she didn't need to be there anymore, it was late on a Friday, and she should go start her weekend. She would not leave! Although unnecessary, it was super nice to conversate with her in down time and get to know her a little. I am so touched that she cared so much and wanted to stay so I had one more companion on my side. I would have all these good things to say even if she had left. I actually felt pretty guilty because I ended up keeping Chris, Marianne, and Eric there past the time the dealership was even open by an hour or more! They were so helpful. Once I decided that I liked this car and wanted it, I did want the process to happen the same day if possible, because I live pretty far and obviously don't have any transportation to Flemington. I was pretty sure that wouldn't happen, and was totally prepared to come back another time to pick up the car I purchased. They all treated me with respect. Even though I have very little money, they worked with my budget without judging me. I am so grateful and almost in disbelief at how wonderful this process was. Eric finalized the deal with me. He made me aware of certain options I had no idea about, allowing me to be covered fully under warranty so I don't have to worry about any car problems for the first time in my life! If it weren't for him, I would not have a warranty, because I didn't know there was anything I could afford. I am so thankful to have met these three, and to be financing my first car with people I can actually trust. It is such a relief and I cannot recommend them more. More
