Bait and switch with warranty and sold a lemon I bought a pre-owned vehicle from the Autobarn City Volkswagen in Chicago from Andre Jennings. When purchasing I expressed how much I liked CarMax bec I bought a pre-owned vehicle from the Autobarn City Volkswagen in Chicago from Andre Jennings. When purchasing I expressed how much I liked CarMax because the inspections they do. Andre assured me that their dealership does great inspections as well. Andre tried to sell me a warranty but I was insisting no since the car was inspected. Gave me the CarFax accident report and everything looked good. When in financing Kissy Freeman talked me into purchasing this amazing warranty that would cover everything. 41 days later vehicle breaks down. Get car towed to local dealership (as it says to do on warranty brochure) I am advised I have no warranty with them. Call dealership and they tell me although I signed the sales slip with Century Warranty and was given the Century Warranty brochure, they actually gave me a crap warranty with United Car Care. Needless to say it was not covered with United Car Care and I asked them to give me a refund for the warranty since they did not purchase the correct one. I also asked them if they were going to fix the issue and they waited over a week to have the GM Dan Drescher reach out to me and say yes bring it in after I emailed Dan and told him that I already had it fixed because I do not own several cars to get to and from work with. Dan offered me $200 for $2000 in damage. Best part of the whole story is I had them send me the inspection report on the vehicle and their is a brake issue on the vehicle and says it on the inspection!! Basically, bait and switch on warranty, sold a vehicle with a brake issue to a pregnant woman, drive axel dropped out in 41 days and they would not cover the cost to repair. STAY AWAY and buy from CarMax. They not only inspect the cars but don't sell lemons or participate in bait and switches!!!!!! More

Wait, wait and then wait some more. Took my car in for service with an appointment knowing that i don't have a lot of time to waste. I pulled into service drive and Mr Poldino Buti was behind his desk, I stood waiting for few minutes before I walked over and asked if anyone is going to help me out. He's answer was I'm busy with other customers right now but somebody will be here shortly to help you out. 20 minutes later still no one came and Mr Poldino was still sitting behind his desk doing whatever he was doing. I got in the car and started to leave and here comes Mr Poldino walking in front of my moving car trying to help me out. Thanks but no thanks. Took the car to Jennings VW and was greeted immediately and got my service done quickly. I'm kind of glad now that he made me wait so I know not to go there ever again. If you want good and friendly service go to Jennings VW and tell them that Mr.Poldino sent you. More
