Unethical !!, will not sell vehicle without extras So I was searching for a low milage Audi Q5 and come across a car listed at Autobarn Volkswagen. I called and began speaking with Ray in Sales. Ray se So I was searching for a low milage Audi Q5 and come across a car listed at Autobarn Volkswagen. I called and began speaking with Ray in Sales. Ray sent me some pictures and I decided that I wanted to purchase the car for cash. That's when things started to get strange, Ray asked me if I was going to purchase any extras when I said that it was a cash deal and that I would put down a $5000 deposit he told me to that someone had previously scheduled a test drive and was just arriving. He promised to call me back in an hour. After several hours, I called back and spoke with the sales manager. He told that he was sitting down with the buyer right now and they were purchasing financing and an extended warranty from him. I chalked it up to a bad luck and continued my search, After almost a week I noticed that the car was still for sale. I contacted the dealer again and spoke to an Otto(???) in sales. He told me the car was still available. I told him that I wanted to buy the car for cash. At that point he wanted to check with his sales manager to see if the car was still available. After this communication from Otto stopped. This was really strange so I changed my email and contacted them again. This time I spoke to Perry Kahkesh and yes the car was still available, Here is an excerpt Hi Perry: I would like to take delivery of the car Saturday I can get on a plane Friday night and be at your dealership the first thing Saturday morning with a certified check for $31,900. Alternatively, I can wire the funds to your bank account on Friday so that they will be in your account before COB Friday afternoon. His response: "Let me see if the car has not been sold yet and talk to my manager and get right back to you" At this point communication stopped with Perry. Now I was getting aggravated, I tried one more time this time with Thijs de Kool. Here is an excerpt from his intro email: "Thank you for your interest in the 2012 Audi Q5. My name is Thijs de Kool and I am one of the Sales Managers here at the Autobarn City Volkswagen. We do still have this vehicle in stock and ready to go. The 2012 Audi Q5 is an AMAZING car, and I am sure you will love it!!! Here is a link to more pictures and a free CARFAX report:" Once again, they will not sell the car for cash, communication stopped. So what's going on with these guys?? Do they have the car or not, are they just trying to get you into the dealership? will they only sell if you buy extrras? The answer is I don't know but I would be wary of doing business with them. I will never buy vw again I hava vw passat 2013 and when i purchase the car the sell person add all good can sell me and told me i am covered, My check engine light turn on whe I hava vw passat 2013 and when i purchase the car the sell person add all good can sell me and told me i am covered, My check engine light turn on when had 10k miles on car. For the next 30K its been on and off. When my car was 42k Miles finally they found the problem. $250 deduct. for my extendet warranty for sensor that cost $60 in parts store and $150 for check engine light check that is free in most parts stores. I try to cancel my extended warranty but VW never return my calls. I left the 4 massages. Also they change their policy i have to fix my car in the dealer i purchase the car from not the one next to my house in order my extended warranty to be valid. I had 7 new VW cars but i will never going to buy VW again. This Dealer had poor service. More
