The dealership did not check if there are any damages to the engine and there are still lots of oil residuals. And nobody apologized for their apparent fault. I have been to this dealership three times--one to purchase the vehicle and two for oil changes because of good reviews on Google. The sales person was very helpful, although we did not make a deal due to inventory issues. But it was overall a pleasant experience. However, service visits turned out to be catastrophic. After doing the first oil change at this dealership, I checked the oil level gauge on the cold engine, and it stayed close to MIN, a little far from FULL. It caused some doubts in me but didn't give any troubles, except for me keeping an extra bottle around just in case. They also carelessly screwed a new hole on the front bumper--just to frame my plate, tilted. So I have to take it off and tell them not to frame it again on the second oil change visit. It later turned out I have something much bigger to worry about: after getting the oil service as well as the fuel pump recall done at the dealership, my vehicle started to hesitate on my way back home. Seconds later the giant red oil pressure warning light came on. I immediately pulled the vehicle to the side and found oil spilled entire engine compartment. Oil gauge indicated engine has leaked to its empty. Waited another 3 hours to get the car towed back to dealership. Took the bus home and took the bus back on the second day. They claimed it was a bad oil filter seal that caused the issue. I am OK as long as the vehicle is checked and cleaned. But there are still lots of oil residuals in the engine compartment, struts, and undercarriage. I insisted to have the vehicle cleaned more thoroughly and check if there are any damages to the engine. They said they did their best and the mechanic who did the clean has "gone home". During the visit, nobody apologized for their apparent fault, either it be labor or parts, and guess what the best part is? They framed my plate again. More

Kate Lech is a great service advisor I had a very pleasant experience at the Autobarn City VW. Kate Lech was very friendly, responsive, and helpful in working with my insurance claim. S I had a very pleasant experience at the Autobarn City VW. Kate Lech was very friendly, responsive, and helpful in working with my insurance claim. She was very communicative, and I always knew the status of my repair as it was in house. Though I didn't need a loaner vehicle for this visit, prior visits were made easy as well with shuttle service to and from my house, as well as frequent communications on the status of my repair. All in all, a great place to take your car for service. Go VW and GO KATE! More

I was traveling in July and had to get a new tire at Volkswagen in TN, I had a slow leak in the new tire and Conrad made sure it got fixed for good. So, thanks Conrad and Autobarn City VW. More
2.5hr long oil change I came in for an "service express" oil change at 1030am for my gti. 90Mins go by and I ask what the status is...I look over the cashiers shoulder and I came in for an "service express" oil change at 1030am for my gti. 90Mins go by and I ask what the status is...I look over the cashiers shoulder and I see my car being raised on the lift. She sends me to Bobby, I ask are they seriously JUST starting my oil change?? He said "yes, but they already did the visual walk around." So I sit back down, 10mins later Bobby comes out and says they found a nail in my rear passengers tire...I asked I thought they visually inspected it an hour ago?? I gave the 'ok' for a patch. 1:15pm I hear my name called, cars ready. So from 10:30am - 1:15pm it took them that long to patch a tire & change the oil. I asked Bobby why did it take 2hrs 45 mins for this? He said "I'm not sure why, but I'll be sure and give you a discount on your next service." NEXT SERVICE? NEVER WILL I EVER GO BACK THERE. also reporting this event to Volkswagen Of America. More

We have been getting our three vehicles serviced at this dealership since 2008/2009. The customer service and knowledge in the service/parts dept. is second to none. I took my CC in for service at Autobarn City VW and once again Conrad Swiatkoski the service manager gave me a great service experience . I was quoted for the work and given a time frame for when the work again Conrad Swiatkoski the service manager gave me a great service experience . I was quoted for the work and given a time frame for when the work will be done since I waited and sure enough they finished my service and I paid the quoted amount I was told. They are two other VW dealers like Fox Valley VW and Larry Roesch VW that are nine miles or less from where I live in Bloomingdale , but when I went to those dealership to get service done on my past VW"s I was treated like a number and not like family how Autobarn City Volkswagen and Conrad Swiatkoski with great service crew . I don't mind driving 25 miles one way from Bloomigdale to City VW because I know I will get great service and fair pricing on all my VW's . More
I've had a check engine light come on on my 2011 Volkswagen Jetta TDI. Called Autobarn City Volkswagen to see if i can bring it in for service. I had the pleasure to talk to Conrad, who was very for Volkswagen Jetta TDI. Called Autobarn City Volkswagen to see if i can bring it in for service. I had the pleasure to talk to Conrad, who was very forthcoming and was able to take my car in for service. The turn around was only a one day since a new part had to be installed. When I've returned the next day, the car was ready, washed and had the oil changed a month before being due. Conrad explained me exactly what failed and sent me on my way. Great customer service! Will be back again for sure! More
