On June 21 I took my Prius in for its 120k check up, it had some work it needed and that is ok. The day we got it back the engine wouldn’t start on the first try. Then it got worse and periodically the car had some work it needed and that is ok. The day we got it back the engine wouldn’t start on the first try. Then it got worse and periodically the car needed more and more effort to start it, I took it back a month or so later and they said we needed a new battery, despite it testing ‘good’ the month earlier. My research taught me that batteries can die in a short time frame, and that the battery legitimately could have tested good and died the next day, but for me the coincidence of one day to the next with Toyota having possession in between was too great. I suspect that the dealer let my battery run down while they had possession. Additionally my service rep, Moran, was rude when we mentioned that it could have been Toyota. I’ve bought 5 Toyotas in a row because I believe in their integrity and quality. It may be time to look at VW or Subaru for our next vehicle since the service team at Toyota is either not responsible or dishonest, from my point of view thus far. More
My appointment was at 10:45 and the line was long for. check- in. But the service was excellent bc they honored my plan and took great care of my vehicle. I dropped off for a 1115 appt. It was busy at dealer so i anticipated i would be waiting a while. I asked Jeremy, service advisor, but he said no shuttle service. After 2 hours I checked my car and was told anticipated i would be waiting a while. I asked Jeremy, service advisor, but he said no shuttle service. After 2 hours I checked my car and was told 45 more minutes and I was offered a Lyft ride from service advisor, Mr. Ruiz. I'm disappointed that my original service advisor, Jeremy, didn't offer me the Lyft service when I asked if they had shuttle service. Thank you, service advisor Mr. Ruiz, for offering me that ride service. It was a hot day, crowded and I would have preferred to have been home the entire time instead of waiting at the dealer. More
I had a 10:30am appointment for a routine service that I was told would take 1.5 hours. No shuttle service available. I got my car back at 4:00pm. Not happy to hit the 210 freeway at that hour. Issues resolved. Quick turn around. Expensive. Almost border line overpriced. Will only bring back for sophisticated or complex issues.
