Was told I needed a new fuel pump and was going be charged $1200. The problem was simply that the fuel sensor wasn’t working since the service dept put in a new battery the day before. Now all is working fine - felt like I was being taken advantage of and would have spent money on a needless repair. Would like to be recompensed for towing charges $200 as they told me not to drive it when all it needed was more gas!! More
I did not to write this review but after receiving numerous emails and calls, I will. This was the worst experience that I have ever had and will actively tell anyone never to have your vehicle servi numerous emails and calls, I will. This was the worst experience that I have ever had and will actively tell anyone never to have your vehicle serviced here. I was very pleased with my purchase of my vehicle and will recommend it. As far as service, do yourself a favor and do not have it serviced here. My check engine light came on and came in to have it service. I was told vermin had eaten into the gas tank and it had to be replaced. I was even shown pictures of the damage. All good. I was told that the tank is back East and would take 4 weeks to have it shipped out. Not happy about that but I understand. A little frustrated that my vehicle was going to have to stay there, but again, I understand. I receive a phone call 2 weeks later saying the tank is going to be delayed. More frustration but with the the supply chain issue, ok. No offers of a rental or anything. At the end of November, I receive a phone call saying it will be 1 more month. That's when I lost it. No explaination on why it was taking so long, nor where was the tank. If Amazon can get something to you within days, why was it taking so long to get it from back east. No communication or insight. I told them, after many minutes on the phone to find out why it was taking so long and where was the tank at. I told them to give me the address where the tank was and I would take my wife's car and drive across the country for it and bring it back. I was told they would "look into it". I received a call back with a detail explanation on how the tanks were back ordered and waiting for shipment from over seas. I would of been satisfied with this answer in the beginning had it been told to me, instead of made up crap about it being shipped from back east. 3 weeks later I received a call stating the tank was in and would be installed which it was the following day. The work itself on the vehicle was fine and no problem. Very, very poor communication from them which I will not return as to I don't know if they are telling the truth about needing a part. Do yourself a favor and go to a good local mechanic or a smaller Toyota Dealership. More
