It took them over 45 days to pay off my trade-in, and that was only because I kept calling and pushing them—otherwise, I’m not sure it ever would’ve happened. I was even told the payoff was already taken care of, but that was a lie. Now it’s been 2 months, and my paper tags are expiring. Instead of fixing their delays, they told me to go to the DMV and pay out of pocket for a 30-day paper tag extension. Completely unacceptable. If you value your time and sanity, don’t waste it at this dealership. They don’t return calls, they don’t follow through, and they definitely don’t care about their customers once the sale is made. This is the absolute worst company to buy a vehicle from—there's no denying it. The sales manager and Terry, some horribly racist and rude salesperson, are the worst of the worst. I purchased a used ca from—there's no denying it. The sales manager and Terry, some horribly racist and rude salesperson, are the worst of the worst. I purchased a used car from them, and the moment I handed over my money, they turned into complete monsters. Once I drove off, their treatment became appalling—absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They only respond until you sign the deal; after that, they couldn’t care less. Just look at the countless reviews—everyone agrees they have the most terrible staff in automotive history. I got an CAR from Terry, who is unbelievably rude and disrespectful. Not long after, it rained, and water was leaking into my lights. I called to ask why—expecting some basic customer support—and he had the audacity to dismiss me, saying, "What do you expect after buying a used car?" and blaming my mileage for making a bad purchase. As if he never thought to mention any of this during the sale! No, suddenly it’s my fault that I bought a garbage car from them. I’m warning anyone considering buying a vehicle here—stay far away. These people are the worst, constantly ruining the reputation of the supposedly reputable Cooley brand. It’s a disgrace, a shameful place filled with condescending, unprofessional clowns. More
In April 2022, I took my Hyundai to Clay Cooley Hyundai Dallas for a routine oil change. During the service, the dealership damaged my driver's side door and sent the car off-site for repairs. It took over Dallas for a routine oil change. During the service, the dealership damaged my driver's side door and sent the car off-site for repairs. It took over three months to get my car back. Upon return, the door creaked and allowed wind noise, especially in cold weather. I reported these issues multiple times, but the dealership claimed they couldn't replicate the problem. Before relocating to North Carolina, I was assured by the service manager Edgar Camacho and general manager, Brian Heiser, that any future door issues would be addressed, regardless of my location. However, after moving, the dealership refused to honor this commitment, stating they couldn't verify past agreements as they have a new GM. Despite providing documentation, including emails and service receipts, my concerns were dismissed. This experience has been frustrating and disappointing. I expected better accountability and customer service from a dealership representing the Hyundai brand. More
Radiator went out a month after purchasing car. Was told the didn’t have warranty even though our invoice shows it does. Also shows the car is in another ladies name whom I do not know. Very deceptive advertising. Was told you had to qualify for and I didn't. It was only good for a select few groups They also claim "no dealer adds Ever". The offer sheet showed a charge for 1995.00 for what they called a warranty and not an add on. There was another charge for 995.00 that included window tint and something else. I kept asking why there are adds and they offered to take them off possibly. I think they put them on there just to take off and make it seem like you got a good deal. The salesperson kept pushing for me to buy today and the sales manager I guess did as well. Told them I wasn't ready and they didn't even the vehicle on the lot. Said it could be there and ready to go within about 3 hours. Like I'm gonna wait for that long. The numbers guy wrote down my OTD price needs and my trade pay off and wanted me to sign it and I wouldn't. At that time I decided enough was enough and walked out. I had to stop the salesperson from taking my car for an appraisal and then was followed out by someone who I think said was a manager and that he would take over the deal. I was so frustrated I didn't even want to talk to him. The deceptive advertising and the pressure was just too much. Get as much information from the dealer prior to going there. I tried and got nowhere. More
