Recall part not available: I arrived for my scheduled appointment and was told they might be out of the recall engine cover. This appointment was specifically to have the cover installed (mine has been off the vehicle for 6+ months). If the part wasn’t in stock, the dealership should have confirmed availability or called me ahead of time so I could decide whether to proceed with the 20K service and return later for the recall. 2. Excessive wait with poor communication: I waited over 3 hours with minimal proactive updates. If delays happen, that’s understandable, but the lack of transparency and communication was not. 3. Recall not completed: After the extended wait, the recall work was not performed. 4. Surprise payment surcharge: At checkout I was informed of a 3% credit card surcharge, which was not clearly disclosed in advance. Why this review matters: I’ve owned 8 Volkswagens and have purchased over $100K in vehicles in a year from this dealership.
