Not quite as lively as other dealers but what was lacking in atmosphere was made up for is superb customer handling and winning personality from my salesman Randy. Stopped into Clement Hyundai to test drive a Palisade. We had just started our new car search and had no intention in purchasing at the time. We had planned to also drive a Telluride and a Highlander as well but went ahead and decided to see what kind of deal we could get on our trade. We were shocked at the amount. I have had the worst possible experience ever buying a car. The 2017 Hyundai Elantra Sport that I bought has been a nightmare since the next day. When we test drove it I noticed the check engine light on. car. The 2017 Hyundai Elantra Sport that I bought has been a nightmare since the next day. When we test drove it I noticed the check engine light on. Salesman said he would have it checked out while deciding and go over paperwork. Tells us that it was nothing and its off and everything is fine. So on Friday night February 11th on my way home with the car not even 30 minutes down the road the check engine light comes back on. Called them Saturday morning to let them know what was going on and I was not happy about it or comfortable with the fact of driving my new car it knowing something is wrong with it. I tried to drop it off that day so it could be there to be looked at first thing Monday morning and they could just get me a rental or a loaner. They said that they don't do that and I shouldn't be worried because I have the warranty. Said for me to bring it in as soon as possible. It snowed Sunday so I was not comfortable driving an hour to them in bad weather and in a car with something wrong with it. So I showed up Tues at 7am to be told that I supposedly had agreed to been there yesterday which I never did. So I was then told with the car there that I would have to bring it back tomorrow. After the check engine light not a problem to it being something wrong with the turbo and it had a bad battery in it. So the next run around was about having some deep scratches and door dings fixed that my salesman had said no problem turned in to a problem. While trying to get that taken care of they call me to tell me that I have to come down there and get the title to the car they just got it. So when I take all of the paperwork they gave me to license and register the car. They never inspected it. So I call again to be told that they show that they inspected it which I ask when they say when they fixed the turbo issue. I said well you couldn't have because I have no paperwork and there is a 2019 inspection sticker on the window. So they say bring it in they will get it done. So here is where it just makes me not even want the car anymore. While I sit there for over 2 1/2 hours for my inspection I am then told that the Service Manager will be out to talk to me. Which he responds that my car won't pass inspection because it doesn't have a muffler on it just exhaust from the catalyc converter and resistor back but don't worry we have a car from our lot for you to drive and we will take care if it right away. What kind of a place sells a car they supposedly do multipoint inspections on doesn't she a muffler missing. So now 2 days later I call to see if it is ready and they then go on to tell me that my car will not allow them to hook up to the Missouri Inspection data machine. They can't figure out why. So now 2 more days go by to then be told that they are having a outside Company that specializes in cars computers systems check it out and possibly have to reboot everything. My temp tags are up on it and it iss pass my time limit to register it without late fees. They have now had it for almost 2 weeks and still have not heard anything. At this point I just want a different car. I definitely don't want a car that starts off like this. More
