"Trying to buy a reasonable priced USED SUV"

So anyone that knows me knows that I always buy my vehicles from Gastorf - have for years and I have them serviced there too ..... and I always say good things about them..... Sad to say NOT anymore. My sister needed to buy a used SUV. Now she is the only income in her household and needed the payment to stay reasonable for her to make it. I went with her - do you know all I heard was - I can't come down 3000.00 ...... I heard about how much he needed to make on this vehicle to pay for things at his business. I understand "place of business" - but WOW..... no you give - I give..... so we left. Sad to say - I more then likely will not buy another vehicle from Gastorf .... I'm sure they do not care because I am only ONE person buying from them. BUT - I think I found my NEW place to buy my next vehicle..... Poage in Wentzville.?? The crew there were very helpful. She now drives a 2013 Terrain - with LESS miles on it and Cost LESS then what Gastorf wanted to charge. No the original price was a tad bit more then what Gastorf was selling their Terrain for - and had less miles. BUT they worked with her and got her in what she wanted for what she can afford. Guess I know where to go on my next vehicle. AND I also will be rating Gastorf on this on the Chevrolet site.

I must admit to being very overwhelmed at the thought of purchasing a vehicle. I had spent considerable time considering what I could afford and wanted and had visited a few dealerships before I went to Gastorf's. I had been bombarded with high pressure/rude sales people and really was at the end of my rope when I got to Gastorf's, I wasn't sure I wanted to deal with the headache at all. I have never been so pleased with any purchase!! Tony Allen, the salesman who assisted me really took the time to ask questions, listen to what I was looking for and showed me a few cars he thought might suit me. I didn't once feel pressured, he was genuinely trying to make certain that he helped me find exactly what I was looking for. His top choice for me was exactly what I wanted, from the size to the safety features, the perfect car!! He took the time to go over all my questions and really heard me out with all my concerns. He seemed to understand the points that really matter to me in choosing a car. He had a maintenance package that was extremely reasonable, just anything I could even think of, Tony had it covered. I was quite impressed! My positive experience didn't end there. Tony worked with the finance department to make sure I was comfortable with the interest rate, I understood everything I needed to regarding the financing and that this was something that I not only wanted to do but reasonably could do. Once we had the paperwork signed and I was ready to go he took the time to help me set up all the features on my car, explained the benefits of each and was completely thorough in orientating me to absolutely everything from where to check my tire pressure to setting up the OnStar. I am not an easy person to satisfy, for me this was a HUGE decision and I just can't thank them enough. There was absolutely no negativity, just an honest, genuine desire to help me feel comfortable, even if that meant there would be no sale. I have heard of Gastorf's reputation as being stellar, however I would rate my experience higher even. I received a congratulation call a few days later from Joann just to make sure I was satisfied and see if I had any questions. She went over how to schedule a maintenance appointment when I need one and answered a few questions. It is rare in this day to see a dealership give such remarkable customer service, I just really can't say enough. I will never go through the stress of trying to find a car online or at any other place again, I would recommend Gastorf to anyone!

"Most pleasant buying experience ever!"

By the time I hit the dealership I had narrowed down the make / model to just a couple. I REALLY HATE buying a car and always put it off if possible. My car had finally died of old age and I was in a rental. Dave and Kenny made the experience so quick and easy I might have to rethink the idea of putting it off. They answered every question I had and then some, didn't push for a quick decision and tried to think of everything they could to make my experience better. My experience has been just as great now that Im going out for service on the car. I'll definitely be going back again! Its a little bit of a drive- there were certainly Chevy dealers closer to home, but they made it well worth the time and trouble to make the trip. Great price- without a hagglefest, great service dept.....a super experience

"GREAT customer service with fair pricing "

When you go to a dealer you often expect high prices, ok customer service. This is not the case with Gastorf. They went out of their way to drop me back at work while service was being preformed, some 20+ miles away. The contacted me to provide the status of the service at the end of the day and the prices where fair for quality work at a dealer. ~Richard (business owner & family man)

"Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had.Tried to..."

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had.Tried to get my 2012 Impala looked at due to uneven tire wear.They basically told me to take it back where I bought it from.I did that and it was fixed in 30 minutes.I have 4 vehicles,the oldest being a 2005.None of which will ever go back to Gastorf.Take your vehicle to a reputable dealer,of course you will have to drive.It will be a much better experience.

"I live in the Memphis Tn area. I have been wanting to..."

I live in the Memphis Tn area. I have been wanting to purchase a new camaro SS ever since I saw the photos of the concept vehicle from the Detriot/Vegas car shows 3 +/- years ago. When the time came to finally start looking for my new car I searhed 50 plus dealerships inventory online starting in Memphis and working my way out for my perfect car and nobody had it. I finally contacted a local dealership that I have done business with before about possibly locating a Camaro SS and told them exactly what I was looking for in two different color options. If you are sending that kind of money you buy EXACTLY what you want. As luck would have it they found the exact car color exterior/interior and options I would have built had I just ordered it from the factory. Problem was they were way off on price. I do not like negotiating/haggling over price. The plus side however was I knew the car I wanted was out there. So I went back to the internet and it did not take to long and in Warrenton Missouri (west of St Louis) at Gastrof-Schrumpf Motors sat my car. I contacted them through E-mail and it was not long and their Internet sales person Sarah Brennan and I had worked a deal for the car through E-mail. Their first price quote to me was only $94 off of what I was wanting my price to be. They had no problem meeting my price after I countered. Another big plus in dealing with them was that they did not charge any of the Documentation fees and other B.S. fees that the Memphis Tn area dealerships charge which adds up I figure to $450-600 extra on top of the car price. By adding those charges it would be like being charged a fee every time you checked out at Wal Mart. Due to my work schedule I could not take delivery right away and they even held the car for me with a small deposit for 2 1/2 weeks until I got a day off to drive up from Tn to pick it up. They even sent me pictures with a SOLD sign in the window which was still there when I arrived. It was a 320 mile drive one way for me but I figured the $800-900 savings ( Memphis dealerships car price + Documentation fees vs. Gastorf-Schrumpf Motors price and no Doc. fees) was worth the trip. Plus it was a nice get away for the wife and myself. I car was as promised and the financing was quick and easy as well. I will probably NOT buy another car in my local Memphis area again, they are not worth the trouble and hassle. I would recommend contacting Sarah Brennan at Gastorf-Schrumph Motors in Warrenton Missouri for your next car purchase, they REALLY act like they want your business and are easy to work with.
