Our experience with Blake overall was very good. He found us a smooth running car, was able to trade my VeraCruz in, and the process moved quickly on a Friday night. Everyone at Clement was more than pleasant, personable, and we had a great experience. My only issue with purchasing this car was during the drive home, I noticed a gouge on the windshield. I drove off the lot and bought the car as-is, with the process moving so quickly, we probably didn’t examine as deeply as we needed to, or I would have addressed it at the time. After texting Blake about the gouge in the windshield on the passenger side, I feel it was brushed off with his response. I asked if there was anything they could do since I purchased ‘as-is’— he simply stated “looks fixable, I recommend Spectrum glass”. This soured my experience a bit since we had such a good time during the process, and they weren’t willing to help or at least point out this gouge. It is small, but with Missouri winters could grow, and it wasn’t disclosed on paperwork, even though clearly, someone had to know about it. And after purchasing a $17k vehicle, we won’t have the funds right away to have things being fixed ALREADY. Overall, we feel the car is safe. The process was smooth. Blake was friendly and personable, not really pushy. Just the after experience and the short response of recommending someone else to fill it left me feeling a little uncomfortable. Hopefully all will be well, not much we can do about it now. Will return for regular maintenance and service. More
We recently purchased a used truck from Clement. Our salesperson Matt was very nice, knowledgeable, and not overly pushy like a lot of salespeople. There were three items we needed fixed before agreeing to purchase, and Matt provided an ‘IOU’ and all three things were done in a timely manner. I will say the ‘3 Year, 300,000 Mile Warranty’ is NOT what it sounds like. Even though they kept telling us that is a $4K warranty, we quickly found out when we got into the finance guy’s office that it’s not a bumper-to-bumper warranty, as is eluded to when discussing. It only covers the power train, and ONLY if you have ALL services and preventive maintenance done at Clement. The true bumper-to-bumper warranty was an additional $4K. The finance guy was very slick and fast-talking, moving numbers around, having us sign so many papers without properly explaining them. Before we knew it, we had a car payment almost $100 a month more than we wanted to spend. Unfortunately, that’s the way most car dealers work, and we should have been more on top of our game and insisted he explain how he was coming up with the different numbers he was throwing at us. We are happy with the truck we purchased. They had a very good selection of late model used trucks. I think we got an okay deal. I don’t like that they would not negotiate on the price at all, with the excuse that the great 3 year 300K warranty was already built into the price. We don’t even need that warranty since we purchased the bumper-to-bumper warranty instead. More
Not pleased with how things are handled. Been three weeks since we are notified about part ordered for our car. We called after two weeks and no one knew anything about it.
