We drove up from Charleston to look at a new 2022 Rogue Platinum. I had looked at the car on their website and they confirmed that it was available. The price on the window sticker was 40, 225. We looke Platinum. I had looked at the car on their website and they confirmed that it was available. The price on the window sticker was 40, 225. We looked at the car and even test drove it. We were all set to purchase until we looked over the paperwork and saw that they had raised the price by $8000 to 48,225. When asked about the increase they said it had to do with supply shortages, etc. The salesman NEVER mentioned that the actual price was 8000 more than the sticker while we were looking at the car. That's a 20% markup which is ridiculous. All I can say is buyer beware! These are the kinds of situations that give car buyers nightmares, and make you fret about going to a dealership. I also called Nissan North America consumer affairs but they were not much help. They told me dealerships were privately owned and they basically had carte blanche. More
