BEWARE of Colandrea’s SERVICE DEPARTMENT. If you buy your car at Colandrea DO NOT HAVE IT SERVICED there or you might wind up with careless service. They do not respect CUSTOMER CONCERNS an If you buy your car at Colandrea DO NOT HAVE IT SERVICED there or you might wind up with careless service. They do not respect CUSTOMER CONCERNS and when they botch up on a parts install they will give you the run around on rectifying it. They hope you don’t realize when they MESS IT UP! I had a recall part installed last year… It was a simple install of a module that was missing when I purchased the vehicle…They either did not install the part correctly or the part is defective. I’ve been going back and forth with them since LAST MAY 2024!!! The part installed drained a good battery, I had to buy a BRAND NEW Battery, the safety features DONT WORK from time to time, my Onstar STOPPED WORKING and they expected me to buy a NEW ONSTAR MODULE when the original problem still exists… The module they installed still isn’t working the way they said it would perform. They REFUSE to provide the service I am asking for and have expressed NUMEROUS concerns about. NOTHING was wrong with my Buick Envision BEFORE the install last MAY, my car is still less then 3 YEARS OLD…now it’s just been one thing after another. It has even gotten to the point where GM Customer Satisfaction Program reps have gotten in contact with them to mediate the matter. COLANDREA STILL REFUSES to REMOVE the MODULE as I have REQUESTED. Now I’m stuck with a part I don’t want and that DOESN’T WORK, I’m stuck with a car that is UNSAFE to drive on some days, and I’m STILL trying to get the situation RESOLVED. AND if they tell you they ran a DIAGNOSTIC, don’t go by their word, REQUEST the diagnostic form that they are SUPPOSED to give you after every service. If you have a COMPUTER issue like I do make sure it is being looked at by a BCM COMPUTER TECHNICIAN… BE a SMART CONSUMER and DO YOUR RESEARCH! I even kept the stickers they put on your windshield after each service… FUNNY how one service said my TIRES (BRAND NEW, still had the little hairs on them) were in “NEED OF ATTENTION” but on the NEXT VISIT they were in “GOOD CONDITION” Who is checking these things and HOW? On one visit my BRAND NEW BRAKES that I HAD INSTALLED ELSEWHERE “NEEDED ATTENTION” but on the next visit my BRAKES (still new) were in GOOD CONDITION??? I tell you one thing… PLEASE LEARN FROM MY EXPERIENCE!!! I’ve been a GM OWNER for over 25 YEARS… I have NEVER experienced ANYTHING like this EVER in my LIFETIME. I’ve had car issues before but NEVER had to reach out to GM CORPORATE EVER in my LIFE to have a situation resolved… Just because dealerships are INDEPENDENTLY OWNED does not give them the right to perform installs and not be accountable for DEFECTIVE parts or FAULTY HAPHAZARD SERVICE. There are still a set of guidelines and regulations they need to FOLLOW especially with RECALL/CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM INSTALLS. Parts should have a one year manufacturer’s guarantee. If the RECALL is not performing as it should they should RESOLVE the issue at no charge to the customer and if the install creates issues with other working components then the repair of these components should also be at NO CHARGE to the customer. That is CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. I brought my car to them in SMOOTH RUNNING condition for this RECALL and came out with a car that is TURNING into a LEMON and they have no problem DENYING they had anything to do with it! This was my FIRST and LAST PURCHASE at COLANDREA BUICK GMC. I am telling ALL of my friends, family, and the PUBLIC to BEWARE OF COLANDREA BUICK GMC in Newburgh. More

First I would personally like to thank Cecil who’s been with Colandrea for approximately 40 years ,for recognizing that another dealership (KIA of West Nyack New York, sold us a truck with mechanical and e with Colandrea for approximately 40 years ,for recognizing that another dealership (KIA of West Nyack New York, sold us a truck with mechanical and electrical issues that cost us thousands and had an unreliable truck that sat in my yard. She and everyone in the dealership made us feel like family. Dan the finance Manager you are the King of what you do. Thank you for your patience and time. A special thank you to Darryl Schular from PA, who sold us the truck, who spent a better part of a week trying to help make it work for us. His customer service is uncanny. He always had a smile on his face and I loved the jokes and care he gave us and our special needs child. Thank you David and Ricky the owners who also went out of their way. David please don’t stop answering the phone with (what’s up) your attitude is infectious and a thank you to Flody for getting us on our way. Thank you for giving us an opportunity to change our opinion of gmc after experiencing what we had with the second hand truck. Thank you for working so diligently with us that the truck we bought did not become a financial burden. I’m sold on GMC because you made it happen.
