I want to make it clear to start that the salesman, Keaton, did an amazing job. He was responsive to my questions and concerns and worked with me to get a fair price. Never once was he pushy. After he handed me off to the finance person things went downhill. He kept pushing the extended warranty on me despite my multiple statements that I did not want it. I think I had to tell him at least 4 times. I have to say that implying that the manufacturer wouldn’t honor their warranty nearly cost them the sale. I told him from the beginning that I had already been approved for financing, but he would not take no for an answer on this. He swore he could get me a better deal. Everything in the last paragraph I can chalk up to it being just how finance people are. This next part is what earns them the rating. I told him at the very beginning that I wanted to have my wife on the loan. He completely ignored that it seems. I finally conceded to the pressure and went with their financing because it wasn’t all that much worse than what I already had arranged. Contrary to finding me a better deal, it was 0.25% higher than what I already had arranged. When he brings me the paperwork to sign I ask about putting my wife on the loan. He said something to the effect of “that would mean we have to redo all the paperwork” I asked if we could do that and he told me that I could just go in to the bank and add her. This was a bald faced lie. I would give the benefit of the doubt here, but both the loan officer and the DMV clerk said that they always say that. It was shortly after this that he had me sign for acknowledgment of the interior protection and anti theft. This was literally the first time I had heard of the anti theft. Honestly, I should have walked out right then. I love the car. Keaton did an amazing job. 6/5 stars for him. For the rest of the experience, much less so. Update: Went in to attempt to resolve the financing problem from above. It was a disaster. The finance person above was actually the finance manager. Immediately says that he did not say any of that and that I never mentioned that I already had financing. After some heated back and forth I believe we had worked out a path forward to refinance the car to add my wife. I asked that they refinance it at the same terms to compensate me for the hassle. He told me that they cannot change the interest rate. I asked if there was something else they could do to make this right. He said he had to get the sales manager. Sales manager was even worse than the finance manager. He was unwilling to even entertain the idea that there was any fault on their part. He was only willing to give me qualified responses “If you have A+ credit” was his favorite. He directly insulted me and claimed that I was not willing to take responsibility for my choices. The interaction ended with him saying “I think we’re done here” and motioning for me to leave the office. Needless to say, I’m never buying another vehicle from them. I highly recommend nobody else does as well. If you do choose to buy from them realize that their word means nothing and get everything in writing. Many of these reviews mention their customer service, but I’ve been treated better by most shady used car shops. More

We were traveling through the area on vacation from Canada, pulling a trailer, when our truck's transmission stopped shifting properly. Being a Sunday, no shops were open, so we looked for an RV park in a nearby city and found the KOA on Pocatello. We picked Cole Chevrolet out of the phone book and were at their door when they opened on Monday, praying that they could fit us in sometime. To our surprise, they took the truck straight into the shop and gave us a lift back to the campground. They phoned a couple of hours later with the bad new that the transmission was shot, and gave us a few options for repair, with varying costs. We chose a rebuilt unit, which had to be ordered in. While waiting for the repair we were given a brand new pickup to use, and were able to do some shopping and visit some of the interesting museums in the area. We never would have found out what a nice city Pocatello was. The truck was fixed the next day and we were soon on our way to Yellowstone. We couldn't ask for better service. Unfortunately it was a very expensive repair, especially when converting to Canadian dollars. More
