Over the past year, have spent a great deal of money on repairs at Columbia Acura. Recently, My experience dealing with the service department has been troubling based upon the following examples: 1 repairs at Columbia Acura. Recently, My experience dealing with the service department has been troubling based upon the following examples: 1) I was recently treated VERY disrespectfully by the service advisor, Allen Williams, when speaking to him on the phone about a factory recall that pertained to water accumulating in my rear tail light. I called Allen to schedule an appointment to have my brake light replaced because it stopped working due to moisture build up inside the light. Allen was so disrespectful that I literally had to remind him that I am a customer. I then sent a text to the service manager and told him that I no longer want ANY contact with Allen. 2) In another instance, a service mechanic openly displayed a huge Trump/MAGA sign in his repair bay, in full view of customers. I had to ask the service manager to have the mechanic remove the MAGA sign. The service manager CLEARLY did not think that displaying a divisive political sign in full view of customers at a dealership that serves the general public was offensive to people who do not support Trump/MAGA!!!!!! 3) In a third instance, I brought my car in due to surface rust inside the door panel. The service manager took my initial complaint and then NEVER followed up. Weeks and weeks went by and I ended up sending him a letter to remind him to follow up on my rust complaint; 4) Last, I brought my car in for a transmission fluid change. I was never offered the option of the full range of transmission fluid changes that are available at Columbia. Later on, when it became apparent that my transmission fluid needed to be changed again, I learned through asking probing questions of the service advisor that I previously selected the least expensive option to change my transmission fluid. When I stated that the full range of transmission fluid change options was NEVER presented to me, Allen Williams called me on the phone and insisted that we discussed, AT LENGTH, all of my transmission fluid change options in great deal when the fluid was previously changed by the dealership. The in-depth conversation that Allen alleges never happened. He made it up to protect his rear end. In closing, my opinion is that the leadership of the service department is weak and needs to be seriously and rigorously evaluated. I also think there may be an issue with bias that is exhibited by SOME (not all) of the service staff at Columbia Acura. Frankly, my negative experience with the Columbia Acura service department has caused me to reconsider EVER buying another Acura vehicle in the future. More
We have purchased/leased a few cars from here. This last time was not a good experience. After the sale was made the dealer could care less about our questions and blew us off. Sales process was fine, nothing special. Felt like they just wanted to get my money and get rid of me. Finance person was very nice and helpful.
