Bought a 2021 KONA from another dealership even though our experience with the service department was dismal in the past. Engine trouble at 61,000 miles. Had car towed to another dealership as the one i our experience with the service department was dismal in the past. Engine trouble at 61,000 miles. Had car towed to another dealership as the one in Fairfield could not/would not look at the car for many weeks beyond the estimated time. Was a certified pre-owned car. Had long and exhausting and frustrating time with the dealership and the CPO people in getting approval to get the engine fixed and even then some engine parts were not included in the warranty. and following that I was told the timing belt needed to be placed and the spark plugs also. then I was told the brakes and tires needed to be replaced. So I paid $3,300 just to get the car and stop the nonsense. The KONA is the 6th Hyundai car I have purchased and it will be the last. I cannot in good faith recommend to anyone Hyundai and the two dealerships I worked with. Extremely disappointed. More
Spent over $2k on services, $700 on my 50k service alone 2 weeks ago and my car is now telling g me I only have 13% oil life and need service. I now have to drive over an hour and a half round trip to make 2 weeks ago and my car is now telling g me I only have 13% oil life and need service. I now have to drive over an hour and a half round trip to make sure that the service was actually done and get the sensor reset. I AM NOT happy about this. More
