At first I could clear the code and continue driving without too much worry. My wife began calling to find an open slot at Ford service centers on our route, but no one could get us in because their schedules were filled, sometime up to 3 weeks in advance. She then resorted to calling random auto shops and still wasn’t able to get us seen in a under week! I continued to drive and clear the check engine light until finally the misfire became bad enough to notice in the way the truck was running. I pulled over at the next exit in Silt, CO and my wife found a Ford dealer just up the road in Rifle. She called and spoke with Sam in their service center and told him our story. He said he could get us in that day, but could give us slot the very next day. He went on to tell us that Columbine Ford tries their best to accommodate travelers with vehicle problems as a matter of policy. They found the issue with my truck and had it back to me the very next day! We both feel blessed to have had the pleasure of finding Columbine Ford there right when we needed them.
