We were looking for a new escape. We thought that we would get a 2013 because Ford had 0% interest on those cars. When we got to the dealership, they didn't have any 2013's on the lot. At 7:50 a.m. Monday morning, Sept. 23, I received an email from Sales Consultant, Stan Kutnicki with his contact phone #. We arranged a 2 p.m. meeting for Sept. 27 at their location in Rifle. With in 10 min. after meeting Stan I felt that I had known him all my life. In our conversations, he never mentioned the word "sell" one time. It was always, lets see if we have something you will like and go from there. I also had the pleasure of meeting Tim Evely, the general sales manager and Columbine Ford owner, Jimmy Breslin. Their concern was "do we have something you like" and "are we answering all your questions". It was never, "are you going to buy" or "can we sell you something". I did purchase the 2012 Edge, for the price I was interested in. And Curtis Smith was so great in explaining all the finance details and options. And what a great vehicle it is. I left Columbine Ford with the feeling that "we not only want you as a customer, but we also want you as a friend". There was never no pressure to "you have to buy" that I have felt at other car dealerships. The staff at Columbine Ford are head and shoulders above other dealers. We shopped around western Colorado using internet and when we looked at Columbine Ford, their prices were much lower than others. Upon working with the sales team at Columbine Ford in North Rifle, I experienced the most pleasant truck buying experience I have ever had. I negotiated with Jose over the phone, and they found the identical truck I wanted in Denver and had it shipped to Rifle so I didn't have to drive 4 hours one way to pick it up which is honestly more than I hoped for. The price was negotiated over the phone and they honored that price when I went to take delivery of my new Ford. This is unheard of in the auto sales industry! In my past dealings with car salesmen, it normally takes hours of bickering back and forth to come to a fair price for both parties involved. James and Jose both bent over backwards to find the exact make, model, and even color of truck I desired and were able to deliver it to me with no hidden costs or additional fees. They laid everything on the table for me in a way that was both professional and understandable. Jose even took precious sales time out of his day just to follow up and make sure I was happy with everything about the truck, something no salesman has ever done in any trade. I rushed out of the office after signing all of the papers and the next day James said that his finance guy didn't get me the best deal for the interest rate and had me come back to his office because he had a better offer for me. After reviewing what James showed me, he save me around $6200 just in finance charges. James was so honest, that I would gladly send my friends, family, and colleagues to him and Jose in a heartbeat knowing that they would be taken care of like family. This now sets the precedence for any future auto purchase that me or my relatives may make in the future. James and Jose both have earned my business and anyone I talk to about cars, for life!
