Highly Recommend Competion Subaru of Smithtown! I wanted to purchase an SUV as I did not feel safe in my Elantra in inclement weather. I was going to test drive a Honda CRV and the Subaru Forrester. I made a visit to competition Subaru in Smithtown. My salesperson Jeff was very pleasant and was eager for me to test drive the Forrester. I LOVED it!!! Jeff showed me a video put out by, I believe AAA (Wasnt made by Subaru, so it was not biased). It showed several SUVs trying to ascend an icy hill. One made it up, and it was the Forrester. I never did test drive the Honda CRV and I purchased my first new vehicle a white Forrester last week . I couldn't be happier! Jeff handled everything quickily and professionally. At time of pick up he sat in the vehicle with me and explained what controls were for and directed me to the manuals. He educated me on the starlink program which I also bought . I was so impressed with my new car and with the pleasant demeanor and efficiency of Jeff, that I sent my son to him and he is buying his first new car, the crosstrek! He also plans on sending his friend to Jeff as he felt he was honest and "a cool guy". More

Don't waste your time!!! I contacted Competition Subaru of Smithtown on Fri 10/6 to inquire about a 2016 Subaru Impreza. I received a reply from Erin McGann stating that it wa I contacted Competition Subaru of Smithtown on Fri 10/6 to inquire about a 2016 Subaru Impreza. I received a reply from Erin McGann stating that it was still available & asking when I wanted to see it. I said that Sunday 10/8. She said that works, we're open 11-5. I'd been very sick for days but dragged myself out of bed to my appointment in Smithtown, which was almost 1 hour away from my house. I got there around 1 & went to the desk ,said Erin knew I was coming. The girl seemed to have no record of me & told me Erin wasn't there to ask. She then asked if I had a stock#.I provided her with the info, she went & talked to someone else, came back & said it would be a while since everyone was busy. On our way to sit, a man named Bryan asked if we needed help. We told him about the car we were there to see & he said, pointing to a couple sitting with a salesman : " Oh, I think that's the car they're talking about over there." He went to check & came back & said: "Actually, the car isn't here. It's out for cleaning & won't be back until tomorrow. If you want you can come back then." As we were leaving the dealer I emailed Erin again letting her know what happened, told her I could come back the next day, the 10th, after work but to please confirm with me that the car would be there as it's quite a distance away from me. The morning of the 10th I woke up to a notification from Carol@ Smithtown Subaru that the car I was looking at had gone up in price about $500. I never received a reply from Erin. So, no, I absolutely would not recommend this dealer. I'd say go to Grand Prix Subaru in Hicksville & ask for Andre. He sold me my beautiful Legacy with a simple, no b.s. approach. More
