I took my car for detailing. The job was shoddily done. There was dried up cleaning agent residue left over which made the car look worse. No courtesy wash. I have purchased all six of my new cars from Conicelli Toyota Springfield. My family members purchase cars at Conicelli. We are loyal customers. We appreciate a good thing. At the same time, we recognize when things are not good. Your front desk staff at the Service Department are unprofessional, unkind and down-right rude. This is not a new development. On my visit last week, your staff did not acknowledge my arrival, left me standing for an inordinate amount of time, deliberately avoiding eye contact with me. Three other employees who were not on the front desk were embarrassed and outraged at the treatment I was getting. They actually told me that this is a common occurrence with the front desk staff. The encouraged me to speak with the manager. I met briefly with the manager. He told me that he was aware of the problem. For what it's worth, something has to be done. Bad culture is bad business. Communication is key. If one person would have simply greet your customer, let them know someone will be with them shortly...that's all it would take for completed satisfaction. Thank you. More

Honestly, the service was horrendous. The valets and shuttle drivers were all very nice, but in the building itself, it's like nobody cares that you exist. You walk in and have no idea where to go, the service advisers are all at their stations ignoring you, and eventually someone takes pity on you and seems annoyed that you're there. Some signs saying "wait here until someone decides to do his job" would be nice. Also, name tags or signs indicating who is who would be helpful. As I was standing there waiting, someone finally told me go do down and see "Biff." Well, there's no way of knowing who that is. Then as I'm walking around trying to find "Biff," nobody would say "hello" or point me in the right direction. And "Biff" certainly didn't say "I can help you right here." "Biff" seemed rather upset that he had to stop whatever he was doing to help a customer. It's not like I just drove in and demanded a complex service. I had an appointment. Nobody called to say my car was done; I only found out because the shuttle driver called to ask when I wanted to be picked up. Someone had written that he called and left a voicemail on my paperwork. That's a total lie. Seriously, these people need a lesson in basic customer service. I only use this dealership because it's close; next time I think I'll travel to a place further away. More
