This does not sound like the customer service we strive to offer. When did you come in for service? We will make this right for you if you can provide some further details.

camelott responded

No further comment because you can't make it right. Damage is done. I'm not coming back which is why you can't make it right. Don't know if legal counsel can but will talk to him or her.

Who did you deal with? At least give me a general idea of what happened so I can look into it further. What type of vehicle and what was the issue?

No thanks. I'm done talking. Please no further messages.

Copeland Toyota responded

Hello Eileen, My name is Jason Pappad and I am the Director of Operations. Many times a business is not given the opporunity to make things right. I reviewed your your repair order and see you have been a loyal customer for years. This happened almost a year ago so it is hard for me to get details from employees as to what occured. What can I do to make this right for you?

Jan 24, 2014 -

Eileen05 responded

I appreciate the response from you but not hearing from anyone especially Manager Dave is typical of my recent experience with Toyota. I am not sure what can help at this point except a full refund. I had to go elsewhere to repair my vehicle. The wheel bearing and the brakes were supposedly done by Copeland and I spent over $900.00 total and without my vehicle for three days (I was given a loaner) but never the less an inconvenience and to not have it be fixed was even worse. Being told to just turn up my radio was unprofessional at its best and I felt it was said because I am a woman. Eileen D. Pina

Copeland Toyota responded

Do you remember who told you to turn up the radio? Also, is there anything else I can do to re-earn your business? Maybe we can provide a free service to you? Where this has occurred over a year ago I cannot issue a refund due to not being able to verify the condition of the vehicle at the time of the recommendation. None the less we do not sell work that is not needed. It is against everything we stand for.

Jan 28, 2014 -

Eileen05 responded

I do remember who said turn up the radio and I already stated it in my first message, it was Dave McCormick. Also, I wish I could tell people that you don't do work that isn't needed and it is very funny to me, the work I came in for and was the issue that Copeland "charged me just for parts" on the wheel bearings and was not done. So Copeland tells people they are doing work and charge them but don't do it? Again, nothing but a full refund could get my business back. A free service? Not sure what service you are speaking about but why would I trust Copeland with my vehicle again? You cannot even make up for service not rendered, I have the receipts and you are pretty much telling me I am lying. Just more proof of Copelands intergrity.

Jan 29, 2014 -

Copeland Toyota responded

I reviewed all of the documents and the measurements available indicate that your brakes were needed. That we are sure off. It is also possible that at 178,000 miles that the other wheel bearings were near the end of their life as well. Also, we verified all the work was done through our internal processes and checks. We would be willing to provide a free service, but since this issue is almost 1 year old I cannot refund the money. We appreciate your business.

Jan 29, 2014 -

Eileen05 responded

That's just it! My wheel bearing did need to be replaced...and I paid Copeland for the parts(a copeland deal ) to repair it. The part I am angry about is that it was never fixed. I had the same exact noise and nothing changed. I brought it to Meineke and they fixed it, I drove away and no noise. You will never get my business or my families business or anyone I come into contact with if I can help it. I love social media!

Copeland Toyota responded

What did Meineke replace?

Jan 29, 2014 -

Eileen05 responded

A wheel bearing.

Jan 30, 2014 -

Copeland Toyota responded

Toyota is the most reliable vehicle on the road because of Toyota parts. Aftermarket parts installed by Meineke will cost less without a doubt. You had multiple wheel bearings needing replacement. I am sorry you feel we did work that was not needed, but according to my documents it was needed.

Jan 30, 2014 -

Copeland Toyota responded

Hello Eileen, Thank you for sharing this with us. We reviewed all our records about your visit and wish this was brought to our attention sooner. It has been almost a year since the visit and researching this now is difficult. Your original complaint was: “THERE IS A GROANING/ROTATING SOUND WHILE DRIVING CITY SPEEDS / ESPECIALLY WHEN SLOWING TO A STOP.” The brakes were found to be metal to metal once we road tested the vehicle. We replaced the pads and rotors, which corrected the noise we heard on the road test. A different noise was heard once you picked-up the vehicle. This was indeed a wheel bearing in the left front of the vehicle. We replaced it without any labor charges to you with a Genuine Toyota Hub & Bearing. At 178,000 miles it is possible for multiple vehicle components to be worn and noisy. The brakes were a severe safety issue and were making loud noises. In addition, the other wheel bearings were probably nearing replacement as well. This is why Meineke replaced a second one for you. If this was brought to our attention sooner then we could have assisted you further with the repair. We understand your frustration and appreciate your business. Our dealership has been in business for over 40 years with an excellent reputation in our community. Please check your private messages for the offer we are willing to help earn your business back.
