Because the light has always The on-off status of the engine light has been reported prior to the service performance for the past 2-3 services. Because the light has always been off when I got to you for service (one time I went in because I had the light but it went out by the time I got to your dealership) no action was taken. This time THE ENGINE LIGHT WAS AGAIN OUT WHEN I GOT TO YOUR BEALER SHIP but we included it in the service package. Corrective action was expensive. Action taken was effective as improved engine performance is evident but I wonder if more timely action would have reduced the cost by some of it being covered under warranty. Also savings in fuel cost may have resulted. More
