Staff is friendly, but I got recommendations for transmission, break and coolant refills/ flushes based on time and mileage alone, without even looking at the fluids to see if they needed replacing. transmission, break and coolant refills/ flushes based on time and mileage alone, without even looking at the fluids to see if they needed replacing. It was over $1k worth of work. When I went to other trusted mechanics they said they only do those things if the visual inspection proves they are needed. When i asked for corwin to test the fluids, they acted like I was crazy for questioning whether they should be done based on time and mileage alone. All the other repair shops always test and show you the fluid to make a recommendation. Prob most of those things don’t need to be done yet. I guess i learned my lesson about going to a dealership for service. Also I learned that the people at corwin who give you quotes are commission-based sales people. The more repairs they sell you the more commission they make. doesn’t mean they’re all pushing unnecessary repairs , but their motivation isn’t going to be to make sure you only get the very necessary repairs/services.
