Toyota reached out to schedule this appointment over 2 months ago for some recall work. When I went to pick up the car and was told they would need to order the part needed because they didn't have it in months ago for some recall work. When I went to pick up the car and was told they would need to order the part needed because they didn't have it in stock and would need to come back in when they get the part in. If I was just dropping in for a vehicle check up, I'd understand that, but to make me have to take time out of my day for an issue that was on Toyota from the get go is unacceptable. I drive for a living, so having to leave my car with you for the day costs me money. I also mentioned a smell that was coming from my vents and specifically stated that you have to run the car for a long time before it starts to smell (this was my 3rd time asking this issue to be addressed since I got the vehicle in 2022) it smells like fuel or exhaust in my car. The only way to make it stop is to turn on the recycled air. I was told the tech could only smell my gum in the car. When I explained the issue to the person checking me out, he agreed that it sounded like it fit the criteria from one of the other recalls and said he would added the notes to my file, which does NOTHING to resolve the issue. Apparently I need to drive my car over there when it happens so they can smell it first hand. More
