Secondly, although the process to complete the paperwork with the accounting/finance department went smooth enough, we did have a significant wait and recently had bought a car in Indiana with digital signing with a screen on the desktop that was exceptional. Where to start. I scheduled my appointment about a week in advance for 09:45. I arrived early at 09:35 because if you’re not early, you’re late. After speaking with my service advisor, I was presented with eight “recommended” services totaling about $850. My Tacoma has fewer than 30,000 miles, and this seemed excessive. After pushing back and asking questions, it was clarified that these services are only recommended if I off-road, tow, or frequently drive on dusty roads. I do none of these, yet the services were initially presented without explanation and felt like a push for unnecessary dealer add-ons. After determining that only an oil change was actually required, I waited for it to be completed. The total wait time was 2 hours and 15 minutes—135 minutes—for a simple oil change. After an attempt to upsell unnecessary services and a wait that long for basic maintenance, I will not be returning to this dealership. Take this as a warning: proceed at your own risk. More
