Staff is friendly, but I got recommendations for transmission, break and coolant refills/ flushes based on time and mileage alone, without even looking at the fluids to see if they needed replacing. transmission, break and coolant refills/ flushes based on time and mileage alone, without even looking at the fluids to see if they needed replacing. It was over $1k worth of work. When I went to other trusted mechanics they said they only do those things if the visual inspection proves they are needed. When i asked for corwin to test the fluids, they acted like I was crazy for questioning whether they should be done based on time and mileage alone. All the other repair shops always test and show you the fluid to make a recommendation. Prob most of those things don’t need to be done yet. I guess i learned my lesson about going to a dealership for service. Also I learned that the people at corwin who give you quotes are commission-based sales people. The more repairs they sell you the more commission they make. doesn’t mean they’re all pushing unnecessary repairs , but their motivation isn’t going to be to make sure you only get the very necessary repairs/services. I was very disappointed with the check in process. I had an appointment and expected to be able to drop off the car at the appointed time. Instead I waited over ten minutes for the person assigned t I had an appointment and expected to be able to drop off the car at the appointed time. Instead I waited over ten minutes for the person assigned to check me in, while it appeared other service persons were free. Rork, the person assigned to me was very nice and apologized for the delay. I also had to wait to pick up my car because Rork was busy. Again it appeared that other Employees were free and should have been available to help. The person that brought out my car just left it running with the door open and walked away before I was even close. Anyone could have gotten in my car and driven away either on purpose or by accident since every other Prius on the road is the same color as mine. More
730am appt receive my car back at 545pm only to be told it was my key fob. Service rep never returned my texts or calls and told me the tracking system doesn’t work. Worked with me to get my car repaired as timely as possible even though the issue was uncommon. I would love to see the dealership provide loaner cars in incidents like this so that owners are able to possible even though the issue was uncommon. Also, the driver beforehand while we were still in the car in line checked in with us to make sure we had been helped, plus he easily to immediately.
