Nick is excellent at his job. However his support doesn't match up. I could not reach him by phone becuase the dealership had not corrected his extension and the perosn to whom my message was directed (Mark) match up. Nick explained eveything thoroughly but the dealership costs were high. Thus, I did not agree to every recommended item and have the work done elsewhere. I first moved out to AZ in 2008, and I was really worried about what dealership was going to work on my car. As soon as I got out of my car I felt welcome, like I was back home at the dealership I bought my about what dealership was going to work on my car. As soon as I got out of my car I felt welcome, like I was back home at the dealership I bought my Grand Am from. From there on my experience with Courtest Chevrolet has been an awsome. Prior to having Tim Jackson as my Service Consultant I had Mark Hurtt. Mark was one the best service consultant I have ever had. He was very friendly, outgoing, funny, and down to earth. He was very helpful in every way possible. I was very upset when I found out that he was leaving. When I first started bring my car to Courtesy Chevrolet I had asked Mark if he was to ever leave who would he recomend to be my service consulant. He stated, "Tim Jackson". When I first met Tim he had a great smile on his face and it never left. Everytime I come in there he is always smiling. It GREAT!!!!!! He is very friendly, outgoing, funny, and I respect him a lot. Tim is also very helpful as well. He has always guided me in the right direction when it comes to what I need done to my car. Tim I just want to thank you and your are no doubt the BEST!!!!!!! I purchased an 07 Jeep Wrangler from their used car division, and was given a 3mo/3year warranty to cover any major issues. This was in lieu of having my mechanic inspect the vehicle. During a routin division, and was given a 3mo/3year warranty to cover any major issues. This was in lieu of having my mechanic inspect the vehicle. During a routine differential fluid change (required but not performed by Courtesy) I discovered a loose shim. I called Courtesy, who recommended I take it to a Jeep dealership. The Jeep delearship confirmed the issue (worn out diff. bearings) and replaced the bearings and shims. I asked Courtesy to cover the parts, assuming since I had the repairs done at the Jeep dealership, I would cover the labor. They refused stating that since I was not a "trained automotive technician" and I removed the diff. cover to change the fluid, it voided thier warranty. They said that I could've ruined the bearings myself,s ince I was not trained. How ridiculous was that. The Jeep service dept. backed me up on this one, but Courtesy would not listen to them either. This issue went all the way up to the owner level, who just sided with their service dept. saying, I should not have changed the diff. fluid myself, and that they could not tell if I wore out the bearings by removing the cover. The bottom line is: Courtesy Chevrolet's used car warranty is not worth the paper it is printed on. I am chocking this one up to "It's a used vehcile and you can't trust a used car dealership" lesson. Buyer Beware, I had thought a major dealership would stand behind something they sold, especially since I was willing to meet them halfway on costs. By the way, I only had the Jeep for 1 month, when this was discovered. More
Tim Jackson is the best service person I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. He is professional and has my best interest at heart whenever I bring my car in for service.
