A little Covert History.
In 1909, Frank M. Covert, Sr., a real estate and insurance businessman opened the first automobile dealership in Central Texas. Three years later, his son, Clarence Covert, Sr., joined him to form the Austin Buick Sales Company, which became the foundation for Covert Buick, Inc., the oldest Buick dealership in Texas today.
Frank M. Covert Sr. was succeeded in the business by his two sons, Frank Covert Jr. and Clarence Covert Sr. Frank Covert, Jr. had one son, Dr. Frank M. Covert III, who chose not to join the family business and instead became a surgeon. He is now retired from the practice of medicine and resides in Austin. If you want to get a completely different price that what is listed online, then this is your dealership. We read online a specific stock number for a vehicle at a defined price, but when we showed up after is listed online, then this is your dealership. We read online a specific stock number for a vehicle at a defined price, but when we showed up after being hassled by the sales staff, not only was the vehicle sold which had multiple deals on it, the vehicle was also priced $12,000 higher which included a protection package worth almost $3500! When the staff explained to us that their is a market ramp up on certain vehicles, I explained that listing a price on the internet that is completely different than the actual price is unethical. Regardless of the market. I was quoted, “Well, we can’t change that.” Getting people to come into dealership based on online pricing, and then tricking them into another price is totally unfair. Additionally, we were completely low-balled on our trades, which I figured would happen regardless of the price. Furthermore, the staff was trying to sell us a vehicle that wouldn’t exist for 3 months. Completely Absurd. Lastly, I really didn’t appreciate being spoken to as if this was my first car buying experience. I know the senseless nonsense game of dealerships trying to make the most money from a deal, but Covert is the worse one I’ve seen yet, even comparing to dealerships In Killeen, Tx, where those dealerships take advantage of Soldiers. I gave Covert my first and last chance. I will never return here, and will personally persuade anyone who thinks of going there to change their minds. My husband scheduled an appt to look at a vehicle for 515pm tonight. Received confirmation email about appt this afternoon at 2pm. Showed up at 515, salesperson he had appt with was not even there, and v 515pm tonight. Received confirmation email about appt this afternoon at 2pm. Showed up at 515, salesperson he had appt with was not even there, and vehicle he was supposed to look at had been sold. He drove 2 hrs. Sales manager never apologized, no one called to say it was sold. Horrible customer service. We'll find a vehicle elsewhere, thanks. More

mr devin the sales person was so unprofessional quick to blown me away and forgot to give me his business car. the vehicle i had choosen it was not availble later i was told it was not saleable it had too blown me away and forgot to give me his business car. the vehicle i had choosen it was not availble later i was told it was not saleable it had too many things wrong with it would not pass inspection but i saw it again in the web available and for sale no mention of all this details wrongh with it this is worst dealer ever. the manager give his advice why should i buy a new car and the advantages he forgot the price tag thousands of dollars more. There webb advertisement have false advetising so they can get you to come and see vehicles that are not even in the dealer. I will sue them for wasting my time making drive from temple texas andall for their false advertising tactics they should be ashame to the manager that call me back are kidding me you think iam that sucker check all your recalls.
