Salesman vs Salesmanage Our experience with the salesperson Dereck Smith was outstanding and probably couldn't be beat. Great individual! When we talked about the final purch Our experience with the salesperson Dereck Smith was outstanding and probably couldn't be beat. Great individual! When we talked about the final purchase price with the used care sales manager, as new care sales manager was not available, we thought all was settled and that we were getting several rebates which we did. However, it was never brought to our attention that we would be taxed on each rebate we received off the original price of the new vehicle. I became aware of this tax on rebates when registering the vehicle and paying taxes. I just felt the fact that we would be taxed on the rebates would have given my wife and I a clearer picture of the total cost to us on the new vehicle. I later discussed this with the new car sales manager who agreed to make sure his sales people would disclose all the costs to future customers. Otherwise, I found the experience a good one, and would recommend Dereck Smith as a great sales person to purchase a new vehicle with. More

Overall We were not put under any pressure, looked at our options, we got most of what we wanted in a car ( a few minor things - compass, garage opener not on We were not put under any pressure, looked at our options, we got most of what we wanted in a car ( a few minor things - compass, garage opener not on our car). Overall, we got to use the service area (tire pressure check) and liked the service area. The people were all friendly, the sales staff and the service area people. We liked the dealership appearance and plan on having most of our maintenance done here. We did pay more than we had originally planned, but got a better car. On the negative side, I felt the discount advertising in the paper was a little misleading. You had lots of exceptions to getting a full discount. Also, the bit about free gas and maintenance for a year if purchasing a new car was misleading. We bought a new car, but only 1 free oil change was provided. You need to spell out all the exceptions better in your advertising. It did, however, work on me because that brought me into the dealership and we bought a new car. Our first Hyundai and we love it.
