Crain Kia of Conway responded

You had an Oil Change appointment scheduled and to check your Fan Motor because it was continuously running and wouldn't shut off. This effected your battery in our Service Drive so we jumped your vehicle. Our Parts Department tried to assist you with the parts that you were trying to purchase for your Fan continuously running. You were wanting to purchase the parts without having to run a Diagnostic on your vehicle and pay the fee of $179.44 with taxes. The diagram in the KIA Manuel only showed one diagram but when we researched for you online it showed four diagrams to fix your cooling fan from staying on constantly. Parts didn't have the Relay or the Resister in stock but they could order the parts for you. We researched if other Dealerships may have these parts in stock and found #2 had the Relay in stock but no one had the Resister in stock and would have to order for you. Crain KIA Sherwood and Landers KIA did have the Relay and you could purchase from them or we could order the parts for you. However, no parts were ordered. Last time I was at this dealership, the service manager was asking everyone to fill out a 5 star survey and show it to him to get a chance to win a gift card. I hope other people reading this website find out how artificial their current service reviews are. Who knows how many trips it would have taken for them to "diagnose" and solve this problem unassisted. The dealership literally thought the part didn't exist in the car. They suggested changing an entirely different part, as it's "the only thing it could be" which just didn't make any sense if they understood how electricity works. The time before that, we had an issue with the rear of our vehicle, and it took 3 trips and diagnostics to get that solved while my wife was driving a vehicle that was unsafe. Another time my wife went in there without me the service manager was going to charge a $150 fee on something covered under warranty. When I got on the phone and pushed back he magically realized it was under warranty. I try to not give negative reviews for one bad experience, but buyers should be aware of consistent problems.
