DO NOT BUY A PRE-OWNED/CPO VEHICLE HERE IF YOU ARE COMING FROM OUT OF STATE OR MAKING A LONG DISTANCE DRIVE. For a week before driving down to LA from San Francisco I had contacted Peter and Tony regardin FROM OUT OF STATE OR MAKING A LONG DISTANCE DRIVE. For a week before driving down to LA from San Francisco I had contacted Peter and Tony regarding a CPO BMW X7. I informed them I am not local and wanted to have the car put on hold for me so I could figure out my travel. I was willing to put a non-refundable deposit and submit my credit application in advance. I was told that they cannot and will not hold the vehicle. Fine. The day before I leave to LA, I inquire to see if the car is still available. "Yes the car is still available and if it doesn't sell before we close, we will hold it for you until tomorrow". Great, I submit my credit application in the afternoon and tell to please make sure I am approved so that there are no issues on pickup day. From 3pm-close they did not run my credit application. Even when I arrive 2 hours the next after they have opened, they have not run my credit application. When I physically arrive at the dealership, Tony makes me fill out the credit application AGAIN and then they finally run it. Get approved and head to the finance office to sign the contracts. After signing, I am waiting for the vehicle when Tony returns to me and tells me I need to go back to finance. Finance tells me that because I have multiple auto loans open, they can't approve me for the 4.99% incentive rate that BMW is offering but I will have to use another bank at 6.7%. Sounds insane after signing a contract right? Well apparently, a dealership has up to 10 days even after a contract is signed to look for a lender. If they can't find one, they can void the contract and force the customer to return the car. As ridiculous as that sounds, I actually don't have issue with that. My problem is that I literally was calling and asking them to run my credit application and make sure I was approved more than a day before arriving and was willing to run my credit application the entire week prior to arriving. The cherry on top? Because I was no longer financing through BMW financial, I also lost out on the $500 BMW loyalty credit. All in, I am paying about $3000 more than anticipated because they just wouldn't hold a vehicle for me or run a credit application in a timely manner. The double cherry on top? They add a $500 "because we can" fee for what is essentially $5 worth of 3M tape on the door edges that you cannot opt out of. Don't put a "Buy Online" link in your website if a customer literally cannot buy online. More
In November of 2021 I picked up my 2022 M240i, and the experience was great from ordering to receipt of the vehicle. Long story short, I began the process of ordering an M4 competition where the dealership verbally agreed to run my credit and collect a deposit of $1,000. I Sat there working with my sales rep for about 45 minutes until at the last minute due to the configuration of my build the finance team requested a $10,000 non-refundable deposit to ensure that I will take delivery of the vehicle when it’s complete. Their reasoning was that they’ve had situations where customers would order “special configurations” and not take delivery. This entire situation disheartening because this is NOT how you treat customers. Fortunately, as soon as I left I was able to order my vehicle through a competitor in the area. Please stay away as their business practices are not in alignment with their mission, which is striving to make customers happy. I am extremely unhappy and will not even consider having my vehicle serviced there. More
