Israel was a fantastic salesman. Very transparent, informative, patient and as efficient as possible. We drove 2 cars and settled on one. Fun was over when we had to wait to pay Lena. She was the o informative, patient and as efficient as possible. We drove 2 cars and settled on one. Fun was over when we had to wait to pay Lena. She was the only one available to accept our $$. Several people in front but we were told only one. Was about an hr. I told Israel we wanted no additional insurance so didn’t want to listen to those high pressure pitches. He promised to pass that on to Lena but said it’s her job. I asked to please just pay him. He could not. When we finally entered Lena’s office she led with, “I heard you say you don’t want extra insurance. I want to offer you this least expensive option.” And…we were off on the listening tour. She lied twice. First that our 40,000 mi service would cost $2000. We are at 33,000mi. I said we have a long time, close mechanic. Would not be taking it many miles away to a dealer. She kept saying you’ll get a loaner while car is serviced. Policy she was trying to sell is almost $2000 so she was saying it will pay for itself. Second lie was spark plugs alone are $800. I was ready to walk on the car. We didn’t but it ended poorly. Couldn’t wait to get out of there. Did not buy policy. We know they make a lot of money on those policies. I told her I felt like I was being held over a barrel. She is Russian by the way so no sympathy. Think we grabbed a great buy on the car so we hung in there. Cars great, Israel great, Lena not at all. Wish you would have an expedited process for purchase so customers can hand over $$ and be one their way. More
First time at BMW Santa Ana, Disrespectful Customer Service. First Flag! Dan Canfield gets in my car, turns it on to check whatever it was then gets out slams my door shut! Second Flag! comes around the back of my car towards my husband and me and instead of greeting us with a " hello " he points at the car (rude tone in his voice) and says "is this you? " At that point, I wanted to respond with NO! that's a car! But, I said to my self "relax maybe he thinks he's funny!" The third flag! he then asked, did you sleep in? odd question! So, my puzzled face made him explain, "you're Late! very rude" but Yes! We were late for our appointment! Fine, I get we were late! Maybe it caused issues but a simple, "Hello, I'm sorry to have to ask you to reschedule, you are late and my next appointment has arrived." Simple, nice, understanding, I would have gladly waited or rescheduled. Then he asked, "why are you here?" I began, oil change, the window makes noise. He responded with. Well, It will not get looked at today you have to come back and pick up the car in four days or maybe more! That was the Final Flag! DONE! I'm officially upset and felt I was treated rudely. Apparently, my husband felt the same vibe and let him have it! That was my welcome to BMW Santa Ana! In the end, Dan Appoligized changed his tone. Sadly, I was too upset to genuinely accept it! Treat people the way you would like to be treated. Kindness works! It's Easy and Simple! Two Stars because Dan genuinely apologized and we appreciated that. P.S. Giving management one star for not coming out when we asked for them. More
