I found two Jeeps that I liked on CARFAX that were very similar and both at Cross. When I got there I went inside where Shawn Lopes made contact with me. I told him the reason I was there and while one o similar and both at Cross. When I got there I went inside where Shawn Lopes made contact with me. I told him the reason I was there and while one of the Jeeps had just been sold he showed me the other one. I really liked it and ended up buying it. I never felt any pressure from Shawn and the process was pretty simple. I was pre approved for my loan through my credit union. The guy who does the financing at Cross was a negative experience for me. He offered me a loan at 7.7% which was far higher than my pre approval. I told him I was pre approved for 5.49 and after literally 15 seconds, he says oh well I found you one at 6.2%. He then tells me that the difference between those two loans was five dollars a month. I took him at his word and was going to go ahead and do the 6.2 for simplicity’s sake, this was late on a Friday. Then we’re going over the paperwork and there’s a $230.00 charge for me taking their loan. He told me that my bank will probably have a similar charge, it did not. Also when I went to the credit union to complete my loan my monthly payment was cheaper than he calculated and it was more than a $5.00 per month difference in the loan payments. He was also a very fast talker with the numbers and I asked him if he could write down what he was telling me, he looked at me like I grew a second head. My response was “well, if not can you slow down so I can write it down?”. My only other complaint was that I felt like the inside should have been cleaner when I went back to pick it up on Monday. The outside was immaculate and it looked so pretty. I love my Jeep and Shawn was great, overall Cross was good and has the best Jeep selection around. More
