Contacted customer advocacy after speaking with a service employee at the Subaru in Wilmington. Was given the contact info for customer advocacy. Took my Outback to the Fayetteville location and was told they would only cover 50% of the cost of repair because I hadn't brought my car in for service at one of their dealerships. They said that if I had brought it in for service they'd consider covering a manufacturer defect at 100%. I am able to do the basic maintenance on my own vehicle without having to pay a rip off amount for a dealership to do it. There has never been a reason to take it to them. They resorted to dirty tactics and blackmail in an attempt to sway me to have it serviced at their location. First and last Subaru I will ever own. I even went all out and had the Wilmington location order me the 2025 Onyx Edition Subaru Outback. Should have just gotten the Camry like I originally wanted. More
