I thoroughly enjoyed buying a car from Crown Dodge. Although there were one or two issues during my purchase, which is always the case when buying a car,Darren took care of everything. I drove over 100 Although there were one or two issues during my purchase, which is always the case when buying a car,Darren took care of everything. I drove over 100 miles to Crown Dodge because they were the only dealership that had the truck I wanted. Next time I buy a truck, I will drive over 100 miles to Crown Dodge because of they way they treated me and because of the deal I received. More
SNAKES!!! These guys are criminals. I went yesterday to their dealership to possibly buy a car from them. First off, their sales rep RUDY made me feel rushed in making a decision. Secondly, and the reason their dealership to possibly buy a car from them. First off, their sales rep RUDY made me feel rushed in making a decision. Secondly, and the reason I call them criminals, they ran my credit without my permission. In fact, I made it clear to them and told them at least 5 times not to run my credit because I already had my own financing; I had the check in hand, so there’s no need to run my credit, if I decide to buy. When I sat down with RUDY, he asked for my social and says it was just to do a soft pull for my credit history and I told him DO NOT RUN MY CREDIT! And sure enough, I find out after I left the dealer they did a hard inquiry on my credit and dropped my score. Don’t waste your time with these xxxxxxxx. Especially GARRET and RUDY who are the two sales reps I dealt with. SNAKES!!! More
On Monday, 9Aug, I called Crown Dodge/Jeep to make an appointment for my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I have been taking my car to Crown Dodge for the past 10 years. My reason for the appointment was beca appointment for my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I have been taking my car to Crown Dodge for the past 10 years. My reason for the appointment was because I noticed the engine light on, my turn signals weren’t working and it was due for routine oil and transmission service. I was transferred to Johnny Lemuz with whom I never dealt with. Johnny made my appointment for Tuesday, Aug 10 at 8 a.m. I arrived early that day and Johnny filled out the paperwork and said he would let me know what services were needed, how long it would take and also the estimated repair costs. Around 2:30 pm, Tuesday, Johnny called me back and said I needed numerous repairs (which I later found out to be 21), and the estimated charges were approximately $8,300. Needless to say, I was somewhat bewildered. My last service at Crown Dodge was in Feb 2020 when I brought it in for routine maintenance and the turn signals not working. At that time Crown Dodge suggested five maintenance issues which I had to delay because of Covid and recently going through cancer surgery and rehab. From Feb 2020 to the present (18 months), I have only driven a little more than 9,000 miles. I am retired from the military and 3 years away from turning 80. Anyway, I was very surprised to hear Johnny tell me what was needed. He assured me that my car would be good for the next ten years and all work was guaranteed for 3 years or 50,000 miles. After talking with Johnny Lemuz several times, I started to suspect that he is a real snake oil salesman. I don’t know if Johnny works on a commission or not, but maybe Crown Dodge also benefits by his dishonesty. Shame on Crown Dodge, if that’s the case. I feel many of the 21 work items he suggested, weren’t needed and were highly inflated. I hesitantly told Johnny to go ahead with the work because I need the car for doctors appointments, etc. On Wednesday, Aug 9th, I called Johnny again at least 5 times. My phone will attest to that. My reason for calling was to get an explanation on the bill for everything that needed to be done. He never returned my phone calls. Finally, late Wednesday, I called the service department and asked them to give Johnny a note to please call me back. He finally did on late Wednesday. I explained to him what I wanted and also asked him if Crown Dodge offered any senior or military discount. He told me no, but that he could give a VIP discount of 15 %.. To be honest, I feel that over the past 10 years that I dealt with your service department, that he is the most dishonest service rep I dealt with. The bill I paid when picking up my car on Friday, indicated me owing $5,764 just for labor at $170 per hour. (34 hrs labor). It’s rather ironic that if my car was there for only 2 1/2 days, the mechanic had to work on it more than 15 hours a day. Seems very strange! Also, picking up my car on Friday, I noticed that I didn’t get the 15% discount that Johnny said I would. Also, the first thing I noticed when starting the engine was the warning signal that the car was low on coolant. I immediately brought it to Johnny’s attention and he said that they just had to top off the coolant. I really have to question whether some of the work I was charged for probably wasn’t even done, but Johnny is making you and himself money, so that’s probably why you don’t care about his dishonesty. Shame on both of you!! I would very much want to discuss this matter with someone other than Johnny, because I feel I was really ripped off. Respectfully, Jim B More
The car we purchased was advertised at 34k miles, but when we got it, it had over 38k miles, did not realize this until after my husband drove it for 10 minutes on the way home and the NEEDS MAINTENANCE when we got it, it had over 38k miles, did not realize this until after my husband drove it for 10 minutes on the way home and the NEEDS MAINTENANCE light came on. I expect they had reset it before but not fixed the car, and that is why they didn't want us to take a very long test drive. Car was not detailed correctly and has spider webbing on the paint, we will have to have it detailed to try and fix it. The service department was sloppy at removing the Monroney sticker from the tinted window and put a hole in the tinting, as well as some stretching in a couple of other places. Will have to have at least that window tinted. Did not see cracks in the windshield but by the time we had it a couple of days, cracks were running, and with HUD, had to replace the entire windshield. Found a partially eaten mint under the seat - YUCK! When trying to negotiate a deal, referred them to YOUR AUTO ADVOCATE (YAA now) to show what a reasonable offer for the vehicle would be (prior to the extra 4k miles that did not show on the advert), but they were rude and said that they didn't know who YAA was! They had better learn! At least they could have looked them up themselves. When signing documents, there was no explanation or time to read them and they did not tell us that we were waiving our right to a pre-purchase inspection or new car inspection. Then getting the title transfer documentation over to Toyota so that we could attempt to use the Entune radio system was useless with them. Toyota only accepts faxes, and they never did respond to my request to fax over the documentation for me. I had to do it myself and pay for the fax, and now that it is transferred, I still cannot get it to work on the vehicle. They were unable to meet my reasonable offer, but we liked the car, and Avalons are hard to come by right now, so we went ahead and paid a little extra. The sales rep was fine, but the overall experience was exceptionally disappointing, especially after getting the car and finding out it had so many unattended-to flaws and extra mileage. Somebody on their lot must have been using it a lot! Or else they were using it as a loaner or rental, but it was never reflected in the online advertisement. I think that is deceptive, as the value would have surely come down with those extra miles! I guess it's like they say, can't trust a used-car salesman (or at least the sales/business department)! Too bad. No integrity. More

Horrible dealership. Bought a certified 2019 ram . They bring the truck up front and the goes wait I need to put air in one of the tires so I say ok the n I take off in the truck get on the freeway and the bring the truck up front and the goes wait I need to put air in one of the tires so I say ok the n I take off in the truck get on the freeway and the gas light goes on after the told me they would fill it up with gas so while I am getting gas I noticed a nail in the tire. Then I take off again and notice a crack in the windshield. So I call them they tell me bring the truck back and they will put 2 new tires on it and replace the windshield and fill it with gas. They have the truck for a week they put a plug in the tire after telling it was a safety issue. The didn't replace the windshield they said they repaired it which is a lie because I took it to a glass guy who said nothing was done to the windshield and they didn't fill the gas tank. All a bunch of lies and then they act all concerned like they are going to fix the problems knowingly they are not going to fix anything. I drove 3 and half hours and left my truck there for a week for them to put a plug in the tire that takes 20 minutes and I wanted 150 dollars in gas going back and forth. Worst dealership I have ever dealt with. Beware. More
