Everything I Had Hoped For Rob Taormino for President! I'm usually very hesitant to buy an expensive item via phone, especially an item that is 200 miles away, but I guess I Rob Taormino for President! I'm usually very hesitant to buy an expensive item via phone, especially an item that is 200 miles away, but I guess I got lucky to get Rob on my call in. I had called several dealerships within driving distance from Ft. Lauderdale (approx. 300 miles or 5 driving hours each way). Rob was the only sales rep who seemed straightforward, credible, low-stress, and willing to spend his/her time on the phone with me...in fact, he was only 1 of a few that actually returned my call and followed up after that. The truth is, when I hung up the phone after the very first conversation, I was 90% sure that Crown Nissan was the dealership where I wanted to buy (well, lease actually) my next Rogue. Frankly, I probably could have turned in our previous Rogue and leased a new one at any Nissan dealership, even the one where I originally leased it, 10 minutes from home. But I had some new questions after my previous lease, and Rob took the time to answer EVERY question, concern, comment, and negative perception that I had (ON THE PHONE!), and he did it convincingly...and without using any strong-armed sales tactics, which I would instantly recognize, having done a short stint in sales myself. The 10% uncertainty after my initial discussion was based strictly on the deal part of our conversation. But Rob hit a grand-slam with that as well, and once all the facts and figures he had lined up made sense to both parties, he and I both followed through with EVERYTHING we each said that we would. By the time I returned home with my new Rogue, I knew that the experience of car-buying orchestrated by Rob was clearly worth the 8-hour round trip. Rob Taormino for President! - Eric A. More
