Yesterday (Tuesday) my wife and daughter purchased a Honda (an HRV and Civic) right off the showroom floor from Ifiok Umoh. For my family this makes eight Honda's purchased from this location and our third purchase from Ifiok . The HRV was just the color my wife was looking for (a new one for 2018) and pricing for our trade in and the HRV was EXCELLENT. This was our daughters first vehicle purchase and we appreciate the fact that Ifiok took the time to make certain the Civic met her needs (she was considering another manufacturer) and pointed out all the features (performance, interior, safety, fuel economy etc) that model offered, and allowed her to take an extended test drive so she could experience the handling and braking aspects of the Civic with a number of different road conditions. He also made certain she understood ALL the aspects of purchasing a vehicle and explained each step in the process; the paper work, financing, warranty, the importance of regular maintenance to the life of the vehicle, answered her questions and secured a great price for her first vehicle purchase. Before leaving the dealership Ifiok spent some time in each of the vehicles demonstrating ALL of the functions and controls and sync'd up the cellphones to each vehicle. He also provided his phone number and said call or stop by the dealership if they had any questions. GREAT customer service and a pleasant experience for both purchases!!! Also want to recognize Senayet in finance who explained all the paperwork and John the manager who came over to make certain that we were satisfied with the way both purchases were being handled. Pohanka Honda Saves the Day!!! On Monday, April 16, 2018, I found myself in bondage as I took my vehicle to have the master window switch replaced at DARCARS Honda of Bowie. The car On Monday, April 16, 2018, I found myself in bondage as I took my vehicle to have the master window switch replaced at DARCARS Honda of Bowie. The car was taken in for diagnosis, and the service team lead, Nicholas, quoted me a price of $1279.67. I politely told him I would need a second opinion, and if his price was competitive, I would return and have them make the repairs. I drove less than 15 miles to the nearest competitor, Pohanka Honda of Capital Heights, and, immediately, without diagnosis, was quoted a price of $365 (+ or - $60). I immediately allowed them to do the work after DARCARS Honda of Bowie charged approximately $1000 more for the same work. They completed the repair and it cost only $312.41. The experience was night and day. Pohanka Honda's showroom was cleaner, brighter, nicer cars on the showroom floor; and, most importantly, honest service. Pohanka has won a customer for life, but Darcars has lost a customer and I will never recommend anyone to go there. Even after speaking with the manager, I was unsatisfied and disappointed. He defended the quote and didn't offer any remedy for their blatant dishonest practices. Again, thank you Pohanka Honda for emancipating me! More
