Took my car because gas gauge was stuck at full. Told me I needed new fuel pump. They would call when it came in. Asked me to have at little gas as possible when brought back. I had been there previously and gave the survey less than 10 points on some remarks because I thought $34.95 for an oil change was too high. They wanted to rotate tires for a fee when I bought the car there (thought that should be free). So I told Mark the reason why I gave him a low grade. He said that he didn't make any money from oil changes and if I never brought back for that it was OK. And he promised to give me a free oil change coupon if I would give him 10s on the next survey. He also told me that they only made about $500 on my car so it wasn't worth it. And that I should be careful because there is a special oil filter for my car and that other people would install the wrong one and my car wouldn't run good in the end.
To the issue now. The fuel pump was ordered on a Mon. I specifically told Mark not to call my home phone (no answering machine) but he circled my cell phone. I called on Fri to determine the anticipated delivery date. He snidely remarked that if it was in he would have called me. I just wanted to know to determine if I should put gas in the car for the weekend. I then waited until 4:30 on the next Mon to see if the part came in. I didn't want to talk to Mark so I asked to speak to the General Manager, Chris. I explained the situation to him about how Mark has questioned me on my survey (isn't that my given right to put what I thought about the service). I then questioned how long it took a fuel pump to come in. He didn't answer for about 5 seconds and nothing like sorry or I'll see what I can do. He then said I'll check to see if it came in. Of course, when he came back on he said they called my home number and left a message (remember I don't have an answering machine). And if no one answers on one phone, why would you not call the cell phone number....duhhhh.....Anyway, by thistime I was frustrated and was getting upset. He told me I was yelling and I said I was not I was just trying to explain. I told him that I doubted I would ever buy a car from there and he said he didn't car because he wouldn't want customers like me. He said that the Service Manager may not want to install the fuel pump either and he had the right to do that. But he switched me to Mark. I then reiterated about my phone number to which I got a snide sorry you did say not to call that number. I then asked when I could get it installed. He said his next appt was the following Mon. I told him that was not sufficient and I needed an appt prior to that and again he said sorry that's the next available time. After a few more words, I then accepted the date and said I would be there at 7:30 am. He said OK and would I be waiting on it or dropping off. I said it shouldn't matter and he said it does. I said it shouldn't matter and he said it did. So then I told him that I would wait because I would love to spend time with him. He immediately then told me he would not install my fuel pump!!!
