After three weeks have never received a response to my inquiries to Gary Landa, service director, Tammy Darvitch, member of the ownership family or Ashanti Shackleford, general manager. I just took my car in for a quick oil change and had the worst experience. I've always gone to Toyota dealer for service so I thought this would be routine. I couldn't find the entrance for the service department and then when I did It was a grubby garage. The sales person at the desk was busy but helped me. He started telling me about what my car might need besides the oil change and he didn't even look at my car! That should have been red flag one but they did the oil change and came back with a few added services. I read the paperwork and told the salesperson Jason I'd wait on those. He was a little pushy on the services but he did finally get the point. After another half hour I asked about my car and he told me it would be another 10 minutes. I'm not sure why it took so long but I was glad they were finally done. Before I left Jason gave his card and said to call him anytime. A little creepy but no thanks More

The worst service experience that I have ever had to endure was at Darcars. My fiancé and I purchased a 2013 Avalon from Darcars in February. Recently there has been a foul odor when the air and/or he endure was at Darcars. My fiancé and I purchased a 2013 Avalon from Darcars in February. Recently there has been a foul odor when the air and/or heat is turned on. We contacted Darcars and explained the problem. Mr. Singleton, the service person evidently knew exactly what we were speaking about and advised us to bring the car in for evaluation. Of course before taking the car in we did our own research via the internet to see if there were anyone else having the same issue. We were not surprised to see a significant number of Toyota owners complaining about the foul pungent smell that literally permeates when you use the AC and/or heating system. Surprisingly though this has been an issue for years. The smell makes you nauseous and it is frankly embarrassing to have a 2013 Avalon that reeks of urine smell. Dropped the car off for service and was informed that the cabin/HEPA micro filter was dirty and needed to be replaced. Of course it was not covered under warranty. We accepted the repair cost in hopes that it would solve the smell. It was also apparent that they sprayed a chemical inside the vents to mask and/or kill the smell. Same solution that many owners complained about receiving during their visit. Hence both did not work. Luckily Toyota immediately followed up with a survey rating our satisfaction with the service visit. I informed Ms. Bayat that the service was HORRIBLE and the problem was not resolved. They in fact only concealed the smell when they sprayed the chemicals in the vents. After speaking with her we received a call from Toyota's corporate office. Several days later we ultimately took the car back to DarCars asking them to do a full inspection and resolve the issue with the smell. To summarize, service manager is very condescending, arrogant, smoke up the butt blower and rude. We are now working with another Toyota dealership to resolve the issue. Don't believe that line on your service bill that states "We won't be satisfied until you are completely satisfied". Our 2013 Avalon still reeks of a strong urine smell. More

I immediately answered his email and called him. When I got to the dealership, the car was already in the front parking lot ready for showing. I was immediately introduced to Mr. Joel Kamper who helped me with the sale. I also had a used truck that I wanted to potentially trade in and while the trade in didn't happen, the process for the appraisal and negotiation was prompt and fair. I have read some of the past ratings and want to set the record straight that what I experienced was a very professional and expedited sales process. The internet quote that I received was MUCH less than the www.truecar.com "great price". I have purchased many new cars in the past and have used websites such as KBB, Edmunds, and Truecar and the price that I received was extremely generous. Moral to the story: * do your research * go to http://www.darcarstoyotaofbaltimore.com and search for your car * choose the "ePrice" button on the right * Preston Jenkins will contact you within a very reasonable amount of time with a great price * Compare the prices to other sources or dealers * Visit the showroom at 6007 Eastern Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21224 (google maps may not take you directly there) * Get introduced to one of the three internet sales people (Joel Kamper is the most experienced) * Purchase the car in a hassle free way I also want to add that while I didn't finance the car, Mr. Edgar Betancourt is the most efficient Finance Manager there is in the business. Darcars of Baltimore is under new management and the problems of the past are long gone. If you want a very fair price for a car and a staff of very qualified people, visit Darcars of Baltimore. More

DO NOT GO HERE. i cannot believe i was dumb enough to buy a car here but they will pressure sales and outright lies are standard at this dealership. DO NOT GO HERE. i cannot believe i was dumb enough to buy a car here but they will use every sales trick in the book to sucker you in. to make matters worse, they didn't file any of my paperwork properly, and so i've had to sort out all sorts of issues with the Motor Vehicle Administration. this was just an all-around horrible experience. i cannot stress this enough: DO NOT GO HERE. I brought my vehicle in for service on Friday, I meet the service manager Jason who was very friendly and thoughtful. Even though I didn't have a appointment he took my vehicle right into the shop to get ser service manager Jason who was very friendly and thoughtful. Even though I didn't have a appointment he took my vehicle right into the shop to get serviced. I thought because they were busy I would have a issue, but to my surprise the service manager offered me a loaner or a shuttle ride to allow me to go on with my day. I decided to wait. I loved the waiting area were they played movies on a big TV that help pass the time. When my vehicle was finished Jason gave me a report of items that I should consider doing to keep my vehicle going. This is the first time I have ever felt good about coming to a dealership for service. There was no pressure and Jason made me feel comfortable about being there. It is not often that you meet a genuine, caring person. I will be back to get the work completed on my vehicle. Thank you Jason! More
This dealer is easily one of the most stereotypical "let us find as many BS things wrong with your car as possible" mechanics that I have ever been to. I went in for a simple service: new brakes and a "let us find as many BS things wrong with your car as possible" mechanics that I have ever been to. I went in for a simple service: new brakes and an oil change, which they told me would take 90 minutes. 85 minutes later, they told me that they had completed a full inspection (which I did not ask for) and had identified three other areas that were non-compliant with whatever fictional standards they'd developed. They were looking for $600 in additional maintenance (which I opted-out of), plus an additional 90 minutes of my time (which I could not opt-out of). My service employee was less-than sincere, and took zero responsibility for the misinformation and the terrible service. TL;DR: Terrible customer service, terrible prices, terrible wait times, terrible integrity. Do not get your car serviced here. More
