My reason for dealing with Darcars of Frederick is due to the service they give you. I deal directly with Ashley Bohrer for all my service needs. I know that if she doesn't already know the answer that she will find out and let me know. I wouldn't think of taking our cars anywhere else but to Darcars of Frederick for service. I had some friends tell me about Darscars Toyota In Frederick and how great the people were and how good they were willing to work with you. This is my first time buying a car from Darcars and I would Frederick and how great the people were and how good they were willing to work with you. This is my first time buying a car from Darcars and I would have to say that everything I was told was very true. I bought a new 2011 Toyota Corolla S. I love the car and the service was great. My sales rep was Jesse Torreyson and he was excellent. Very nice and friendly! I enjoyed doing business with him. He help me and answered every question I had with no problem from start to finish. I would recommend him to anyone. More
I have been taking my vehicle to DARCARS Toyota for 4 years. I have always enjoyed working with my service sales rep Jason Barber whom was always chipper and energentic. A few times I contacted him last minute for minor service for an oil chance on my Toyota Highlander I was always able to get my car in, and out very swiftly. Ive also starting bringing our Ford in for basic service such as oil changes ect since I enjoy the service I get at Darcars. I have also had body work done there and Im very satisfied with the workmanship and speed at which the parts came once ordered. My only suggestion -- the kids room video machine has been broken and out of order for over a year and a few upgrades in there wouldnt hurt. More
I bought my Scion xB in May 2006 and I have had all of my service done at Darcars in Frederick and it has been fabulous. Jason Barber has been the go to guy for me since my first visit and he has always bee service done at Darcars in Frederick and it has been fabulous. Jason Barber has been the go to guy for me since my first visit and he has always been very helpful. I told Jason right away that I wanted to be very proactive with all of the maintence on my Scion and he has helped guide me in that direction. I have 94,000+ miles now and my car is in perfect condition thanks to Jason and the crew at Darcars. I look forward to many more years of driving my Scion and bringing to Darcars for service. More
I usually would not take the time to write a review, but...I had a great experience at this dealership. The staff was freidly and helpfull, no high pressure sales tactics. They gave me a fair trade in value for my old car. The staff very accomidating with the new purchase and agreed to make a minor repair to the new vehicle. I will gladly return to them for other needs repairs, parts, and to service my wife's car. More
Josh did a great job - he went out of his way to find the car I wanted and drove all the way to Silver Spring to bring it back to me. He knows his Toyotas and is a wealth of information! I had previously had a bad experience with this dealership and left only to buy a Honda next door. I warned Josh in advance that if he annoyed me I would do the same again! He didn't annoy me :) I bought my first Toyota after buying FOUR Hondas from the dealer next door. I've switched my loyalty partly thanks to Josh! More
I have provided the rating that I did because I contacted Andy Greisez this morning (5/5/2011) at 7:47am just to see if by chance he was able to service my 2006 Toyota Tundra today and he told me he could. I did not expect him to tell me that he could not only take care of my oil change but, that he could also take care of the "Class C" service that was due and have my vehicle ready for me by 3pm when I needed to pick up my children. I arrived at DARCARS TOYOTA OF FREDERICK shortly before 9am and was politely greeted by Amir Gasemy (he regonized me from previous services that I had done there) he asked what brought me in today and I told him that I was there for service with Andy. Amir showed me Andy's office and Andy met me there at his office where we reviewed the itmes that I needed to have done to my vehicle. Andy also took the time tobring some very important things to my attention that I would need to have done to my vehicle in the near future. I thought that was great to plan my budget for. As I was waiting for someone to pick me up from the dealership, (who never showed up.) Jason Barber came up to me and asked how he could help me, I told him that the person who was supposed to pick me up was unable to now and that I was trying to find some to take me to work. Jason Barber (whom I had dealt with a couple of years ago as my service advisor and its no suprise he is a manager now.) Anyway, Jason was able to arrange for someone there at the dealership to take me to work. All in all I am greatful for the above and beyond customer service recieved by these three gentleman that assisted me today and completely exceeded my expectations with being able to complete the things my vehicle needed on such short notice and on time as Andy told me they would be. (You just don't seem to find that level of service and care anymore.) I am also very appreciative for the way I was greeted by Amir when I arrived at the dealership and how Jason was able to make arrangements to get me to work this morning. I will always have my Toyota serviced at this dealership and I will continue to rave about this dealership for everything they have done for me. Thank you, your the best!! More
Ashley is an excellent Assistant Service Manager. She is extremely knowledgeable about the vehicle's parts and operation and takes the time to explain everything and will even draw a picture of the part and extremely knowledgeable about the vehicle's parts and operation and takes the time to explain everything and will even draw a picture of the part and its function and operation. She is professional and courteous in her demeanor and is easy to talk to. She is definitely skilled in this field. I am proud to see a female who "knows her stuff" when it comes to automobiles. I highly recommend Ashley and her facility on Route 40 West. Everyone in that facility comes across as pleasant and easy to talk to. The Salesmen, the ladies in the office and the repairmen (although they are not often seen in the lounge area)all are pleasant and greet customers with a smile. The facility's outside appearance is poor but the interior waiting area is comfortable. I highly recommend Ashley Bohrer! More

This comment could easily be split into 2; one positive for Rt 40 DarCars and one negative for Rt85 DarCars. The Rt 40 service dept of DarCars of Frederick restored my faith. My wife and I have bough for Rt 40 DarCars and one negative for Rt85 DarCars. The Rt 40 service dept of DarCars of Frederick restored my faith. My wife and I have bought 2 cars there, and have had work done there for years with excellent results. The service counter people know what they are doing, and will work with you to prioritize repairs. The manager I dealt with was named Ashley. Never felt pressured or that you were being screwed over, price-wise or quality-wise. Just had the same great experience again on May 3rd, 2011. (Not sure that having to have work done on your car can ever really be called a great thing, but you know what mean). Glad I went back to the older rt 40 site. It’s not fancy. It’s basic, and straightforward. They repair cars, and they do it well. About a year and a half ago (2009) I went to the new facility on Rt 85 (Buckeyestown pike) and hadn’t been back to DarCars since then. That experience was just wrong. Check engine and VSC light came on and I drove to Rt 85 DarCars from the highway. Just wanted a diag to find out what was wrong and to know if I should stop driving it right away. I should have gone home and looked up on the net. Turned out to be emissions, an O2 sensor, not imminent engine failure. It took almost 2 hours to tell me the results, which I thought was okay since I figure they were fitting me in. Turns out it took so long due to the full length exam (wipers, battery, cabin air filter, etc etc) they gave the car so they could try to upsale me on a $300+ bunch of crap. “Jason” (I pulled the ticket from my file) said my battery “failed” their test; was showing low and needed to be replaced. “It’s giving you trouble starting sometimes right?” Nice try, but negative ghost rider, the pattern is full. Still have the same battery; just gave some guy a jump start outside the library last week, didn’t even have to turn on my engine. Tell me that my battery failed your test, but don’t treat me like the dipstick you used to check my oil (which I didn’t ask you to check anyway). And don’t try to get me to pay for your fancy new showroom and service dept with the huge windows. Maybe I just got the wrong guy on the wrong day. Maybe he’s changed. Maybe he’s not there anymore. Maybe. I’m not going to test it. I’ll keep going back to the Rt40 service department of DarCars, not the one on Rt85 . I would rate the experience 1+ yrs ago at Rt85 at all 3’s except a 5 for quality of work (meaning the mechanic who actually worked on the car, upselling is not his fault), and overall experience as a 1 since it completely drove me away from using them at all. I would rate my experience just this week at Rt40 as all 5’s. Since I'm not finding that I can rate the 2 sites individually, I am recording the ratings for this most recent and positive visit. More
