We purchased our first toyota, a 4 Runner, from DarCars of Frederick back in 2003. We remembered having a really good experience with no pressure the first time, so on New Year's Eve of this year and after of Frederick back in 2003. Throughout the whole process, Josh went out of his way to make sure we made the right decision. Josh's genuine sincerity, knowledge, and enthusiasm made our decision alot easier when we were looking for a new Seqouia last month. We knew just who to call and again Josh delivered with the same passion and enthusiasm. Josh handled everything from the test drive down to the pricing. We now have a driveway of three DarCar toyotas and know the first person and dealership we will call when we need a new car. I was greeted even before I stepped into the dealership. He stepped out to hold the door open for me as I was handicapped. Very charming and helpful. I went to Darcars in Frederick to the used car lot. I traveled 45 minutes to get there to look at a Toyota Rav4 that was listed on Ebay. I spoke with Vincent on the phone and he told me that if I came d traveled 45 minutes to get there to look at a Toyota Rav4 that was listed on Ebay. I spoke with Vincent on the phone and he told me that if I came down and liked the vehicle I could make him an offer and if he agreed he would take the vehicle off of ebay and sell it to me. I made sure that I got there prior to the 24 hour ebay limit on cancelling the listing. The buy it now price on ebay was $4,500 and when I left that morning it was only bid up to $3,500. I test drove the vehicle and although the vehicle was not in the condition listed on Ebay (hail damage all over hood and roof), missing trim on the front passenger side, and needing some work. I went inside with my father to talk to Vincent and offered him $4300 and he was so arrogant and refused to negotiate the price at all. I told him I had cash in hand and before I even finished saying that he said "I know you do but I know I'm going to get the Buy it now price on Ebay". He was rude and arrogant and refused to negotiate at all. He basically told me he wanted the full price or else I could walk, which I did. The auction on this vehicle ended and the final bid was $3650. The reserve was never met and of course NEVER got his buy it now price. I would never go back to Darcars for a future vehicle purchase. Thankfully I bought my daughter a nice vehicle from a private seller that was a smooth transaction and was upfront about what was wrong with the vehicle. Unlike Vincent listed on Ebay for the Rav4. This was my first service appointment since Ashley returned to the route 40 locations of Darcars, and what a difference. In fact, I continued to take my 90 Celica to for service long after the warranty had expired because I knew the work was done right and they stood behind the service. I have had several bad experiences after she left, especially over the last year and had considered going elsewhere, until I found out that Ashley had returned. She is knowledgeable, customer friendly, and always ensures that all of the work being done to the car is fully explained. The atmosphere in the service shop has changed and I felt like they were there to take care of me, not the other way around.
