They were elusive about pric We just bought a Toyota Highlander from Antwerpen Toyota in early February and had the worse car buying experience ever. They were elusive about price and played math games with us, even though we were paying cash, and didn't tell us about the car once we had signed the papers. We had originally thought about buying two Highlanders while we were there and after this experience I was unwilling to deal with them. Because of the bad experience I decided NOT to buy a new Toyota, even though my back was in pain from driving my BMW, and started thinking about other cars. My husband spent two weeks trying to encourage me to buy a Toyota and finally I conceeded to visit DARCARS in Frederick just to see how I felt about the dealership. I was pretty resistant to buying any Toyota and was thinking about a Tesla instead. Sam Owens was amazing. I do not say that lightly. I have bought 5 BMWs from the same dealership and the same salesperson. I have also had my husband purchase from the same salesperson. Sam treated us with a great amount of respect and did EVERYTHING he could to win us over. He met our price for the new car and for my trade in. He went so far as to make sure that my husband understood his new Highlander as well as setting up my new Highlander. Sam went the extra mile to offer a car wash to my husband to try to make it up to him for the horrific experience at Antwerpen. Sam really made this a pleasant purchase, and I HATE buying new cars because of the purchasing process. When my kids need a car I will bring them to Sam for certain. More

Our first sale with Joe was three years ago. He recognized my husband immediately. Joe goes above and beyond. While chatting I mentioned something that happened to my van over the summer that resulted in the loss of my antenna, and radio signal. Joe arranged for one of the staff to look at it while we waited. They were able to remove the piece of the antenna that had remained which means I'm now able to purchase a simple antenna replacement without spending a fortune. Sometimes it's the little things, and finding a salesman you trust. You definitely get that when you work with Joe. More

He allowed us to do much of the talking so that we never felt as though he was pushing anything on us that we didn't want. After we decided that we wanted a Rav 4, he took us out for a test drive and spent a lot of time showing us the features of the car. Francis is very knowledgable about all the electronic features of the car and is extremely patient in explaining these features. (especially to a 75 year old technological idiot such as I) Anyhow I felt that I was teated fairly by everyone at the dealership and that I got a very good deal. More

When we trade in our cars for new ones, we always do two at a time. That makes Daniel's work harder and he handles it with a smile. Yesterday, we drove away with two new Toyotas again. Daniel was part of the process, as he's been for years. He makes it easy and fun. Buying a new a car without Daniel or Jim Higgens & Darcars of Frederick wouldn't be any where near the great experience it always has been. Daniel, Jim, & Darcars are definitely our only choices. I told him exactly what I was looking for and that I was also looking for a great deal. Within thirty minutes I picked out a 2016 Toyota Corolla LE with less than 7000 miles. It still had three years of autotrain warranty and two years of bumper to bumper factory warranty left on it. Tyler was never pushy, he went above and beyond when it came to negotiating a price for me. I had received a terrible deal on my last car purchase, so it meant so much to me that I found a good dealership and a good salesman this time around. Had visited other Toyota dealers that were very vague and not straight when I asked questions on price and availability. Francis went above and beyond answering all my questions patiently about price and vehicle features. Never talking down to me or pressuring me. Communicated everything with him over the phone/email, he had everything set for me and all I had to do was come in once to sign and pick up my car. I don't live near this dealer and probably could have gone to one closer, but Francis really projected a sense of trust and in the end, I chose to make my purchase here.
