I went to 2 other dealers before coming to DarCars Toyota and, to keep it short, the experiences were terrible. I walked into DarCars Toyota within an hour of closing which I always try to avoid and felt awful doing but was immediately welcomed by Kent. He asked what I was looking for and I explained what I was looking for and price range I wanted to stay around; before I started he asked if he could take notes, I agreed, and throughout the explanation he wrote down all the pertinent information. This was great! Over the next 3 days working with Kent I did not have to repeat what I was looking for or the price range because he had everything written down or in memory. Kent was very informative, open and honest and, in my opinion, he really looked out for our best interests. This was the first new car that my wife or I had bought and the experience could not have gone better. Origionally, we had planned to purchase 1 new and 1 used car but we decided to just get 1 new car for the time being and drive our other car until it dies. When the other car does dies there is only one person that I will go see--> Kent. I encourage anyone who is in the market for a car and wants a good buying experience to go to DarCars Toyota and speak to Kent. ~Jake More

I called in, and easily scheduled the appointment for an open time when it was convenient for me. The service associate was pleasant -- apologized for making me wait (perhaps two minutes!) because he had been drawn into a meeting. It really was a relaxed and happy environment. Its hard to know about the quality of service work, as this was mostly a "check and fill fluids" kind of service (although they emailed me a pdf of the report after completion, which is kind of cool.) The only negative thing I can come up with is that they don't seem to know the latest on my particular vehicle brand (a plug-in prius, which is new.) At the time of the sale, I'd asked if they could reset the backup beeper to beep once instead of continuous, and the sales person and his manager hadn't heard of such a thing. [I reset it myself after about a month, the thing was driving me crazy. It was a simple, $12 OBD connector.] Today, I was asking about the Safety Connect Contract ID (I'd like to make use of the service that sends an email when charge is complete) and not only did the service associate not know about it, three other guys he roped in weren't aware of it. The last took my email address, and promised to find out, so will see how that goes. But then, I suspect they don't sell a lot of plug-in's, so perhaps that isn't surprising. Very much recommend the dealer. They treated me very well on the initial price, and I look forward to keeping them for service. More

Jason Waltrup and Dennis Dawson were both wonderful to work with. Jason was considerate about my budget and helped me get the most car for the money. He was prompt and courteous with all of my emails. The car I was interested in was waiting for me out front when I arrived at the dealership for the first time. Dennis was extremely knowledgeable and helpful to me. I had a lot of questions about the hybrid, and he was able to answer them with confidence and in a friendly manner. I really felt that the Frederick DARCARS team had my best interest in mind at all times. I have been a Honda person in the past, but I think I have turned over a new leaf. The Camry is wonderful! I am so happy and am enjoying driving it a lot! 5 stars for this dealership! More

This was my first Toyota purchase as I have always bought Honda in the past. I was curious to see the new Toyota Highlander, so I went for a test drive. He was such a down-to-earth, honest, guy that I trusted him immediately. He was never pushy, just informative and was always available to answer any questions or research anything I asked him in a timely manner. He didn't just want to sell me whatever was on the lot, he wanted to make sure I was getting the perfect vehicle for me so that I would be happy with the purchase. With the advanced technology in today's vehicles, Joe was an expert at setting up Bluetooth, connecting my phone, and explaining how all the apps, navigation and audio system worked. He went above and beyond AFTER the sale to explain all the details, and personally helped clean the vehicle up for delivery. Class act! I also worked with James, a sales manager at DARCARS. He was just as professional and knowledgeable and we had a great experience with him. Extremely nice guy, never pushy and got us at a price we were comfortable with. Overall, very impressed with my first Toyota experience and DARCARS. I will definitely be going there for service, as they include the first 25,000 miles of service appointments at no charge. I expect the service department will be just as easy and painless to deal with at DARCARS. More

What a great experience I had this week at Darcars Toyota in Frederick. I was in the market for a 2014 Sienna XLE in AWD in silver. That is a hard combination to find...especially since I did not want the en in Frederick. I was in the market for a 2014 Sienna XLE in AWD in silver. James Welch, one of the Sales Managers, did an outstanding job finding the car for me, bringing it in quickly, and ensuring that the heated seat recall issue was fixed. He went the extra mile to ensure great customer service. The actual sale was handled by Dennis Dawson...one of the Sales Consultants. Dennis was very knowledgeable, efficient, customer focused, and easy to deal with. Car salesmen often have reputations that make the car buying experience terrible to endure. Dennis is truly the opposite of that; and in fact my wife made the comment “that this was the best car buying experience we’ve ever had in 40+ years of buying new cars.” More

My husband and I drove from Glen Burnie to Frederick to look at our new vehicle! We had looked everywhere in Maryland for a good used Prius with low mileage in our price range, and we found a bunch at Darc look at our new vehicle! I looooooooooove this car! They were fair with the trade-in value of my car (it was KBB), and worked with us to finance at our bank's rate of 1.9% (the bank was 1.99%, so a small lowering), which allowed us more flexibility than the check we had brought with us. Tony went inside and out of the car and did a complete walk around with us to inspect it, and we were able to test drive it on our own (which I appreciate, because other dealers would ride along and make us drive for a really short amount of time in a restricted circle. It was annoying). We test drove the car during the day, and by night when we had finished, we discovered we had a headlight out! Instead of making us come back to Frederick, we are able to take the car to the Toyota dealer near our house to have us fixed, which is a great time saver! I am looking forward to many years ahead of joyful driving. More
