They told us the car we wanted to look at was actually getting inspected and wasn't available to view. I asked about a 2020 Camry. The salesperson immediately shared how "expensive" (because it was $25K). He asked if it was in the budget. That's a fair question. I asked if we could see a Camry so that she could see how much it cost with the features she wants. He then doubled down that it was pricey. That's when I realized he was basically saying we couldn't afford it. I shared again that I wanted to see a 2020 Camry, as Edmunds.com says that's the best year for used Camrys. He again mentioned the price. I'm currently in the market to buy 3 cars, one for the 17 yr old (that I will likely supplement her savings to buy), one for another child and one for a commuter car. I just bought a car for my 20 yr old. This was a very unfortunate experience. Even my daughter felt disrespected and as if the language was condescending. To make it worse, he never said his name or offered to take ours to let us know when the car that was supposedly in the shop would be available for viewing. I'll keep my money and will not spend it here. They lost a potential and immediate 3-car sale. More

Bought a 4 runner in January of 2024, worst experience ever. Nothing but terrible service and promises not kept all the way around. Screwed up my financing multiple times resulting in my car getting repossessed cause they messed up the paperwork. Tons of unanswered calls or callbacks days or weeks after. Cole the sales manager was the only good one I dealt with. The general manager Selorm I had to chase down for months to get things straight, more times I can count was promised a call back in a day or so then hear back a week or so later. Awful all the way around. And they throw me a 750 credit to get some work done and a few free oil changes. This place cost me so much time and money if I could go less than a 1 star I would. This is the silver spring location stay away. More

I bought a used BMW from DARCARS Toyota in Silver Spring, and it has been a nightmare ever since. The car wouldn’t start the very next day after I brought it home. When I contacted the dealership, they sent me to a random detail shop that had no expertise in handling electrical issues. My car sat there for over a week. When they finally called me to say it was “fixed,” the car wouldn’t start again the next day. I contacted them again, and they told me to bring the car to their Toyota service center. After jumping the car and driving it back, they checked it and said the battery needed to be replaced. Instead of replacing it on-site, they sent the car to the BMW service center, where it sat for over four weeks. This delay was clearly an attempt to bypass Maryland’s repair timeframe law. For reference, BMW always has batteries in stock and could have replaced it in a single day. When the car still wouldn’t start after all this, I reached out again, only to be told by their service staff, particularly Lorrine, that they wouldn’t help or cover any fees anymore. Her dismissive attitude was unacceptable. I went back to the dealership and spoke to Russel, who was polite and tried to help, but the used car manager, Calvin, refused to cover the repair costs. Calvin has ignored my repeated calls and emails, even though he’s seen all my complaints. I finally scheduled an appointment with BMW, where they informed me the real issue wasn’t the battery—it’s the head unit. The repair estimate is $4,693.97, and DARCARS Toyota refuses to take responsibility or even return my calls or emails. Right now, my car is completely nonfunctional, and this dealership has left me hanging. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, stay far away from DARCARS Toyota in Silver Spring. More

Bought my car from here and didn't get my plates and registration for over 3 months, called to ask and discovered a bill for almost $1000 because they short charged me on sales tax and expected me to pa registration for over 3 months, called to ask and discovered a bill for almost $1000 because they short charged me on sales tax and expected me to pay this without any compensation for my time or their own inaccuracy in estimation, let alone lack of informing me via phone call, email, or letter.
